The space

The cabin has two bedrooms (one with a queen bed and one with two bunk beds). Although it can sleep 6, it's probably not big enough for 6 adults. It's perfect for 2-4 adults plus children. There is a bathroom with a shower and one large open area with a living room (woodstove), kitchen and dining area. It's private, quiet, beautiful, but yet 5 minutes to the cute shops and restaurants of New London, 45 minutes from Dartmouth, and 20 minutes to Sunapee and Ragged Mountain Ski areas.

Grill, Kayaks, paddle boat, row boat, floating swim raft (no diving please), kitchen supplies, beach toys, large selection of DVDs, games and puzzles.

We will not be present during your stay, but will be happy to take calls/questions.

Chase pond has about 10 other houses on it. Most of the houses are for summer use only so it's often very quiet and peaceful. We appreciate guest being respectful to others on the pond.

You can ride your bike to a minimart/ice cream place, but part of the ride is on a busy street. Driving is the best way to get around. The town including supermarket, farm stand, shops, local playhouse, and restaurants are all a 5 minute drive from the cottage.

In the cottage there is a book with information about local attractions. Please note, we do have some life jackets, but you may want to bring your own if you plan to be out on the water. Swimming and other water activity is at your own risk. No motorized boats are allowed on the pond.

This place was just as described. Quiet, comfortable, beautiful and a great place to hang out with our family. We cooked numerous meals in the well-equipped kitchen and spent a lot of time on and in the water. Went to the local farmer's market on Saturday, which even had live music!

lovely cabin in an exquisitely private setting on a peaceful pond with easy, private swim access, nice amenities and surprisingly comfortable beds !

This was our family's second stay at the Scheff family cabin and were just as delighted as the first time. The cabin itself is roomy, comfortable, and clean. The pond, and views of the mountain behind it are breathtaking. You always feel secluded and private, but town is only moments away for convenience. Our daughters had a blast finding newts and frogs in the pond, and we all enjoyed the wonderful ice cream at sanctuary farm nearby. Tina has taken care of everything, you can walk through the door and never have to leave if you so desire. We loved our stay, and will be back again!

We loved Tina's place. Reminded us of cabins and summer homes in Northern, WI so we felt right at home. Great screened in porch & fabulous deck. The view was so beautiful...each day a little different! We loved taking the paddleboat and kayaks out on the pond. Little things like having kitchen staples (coffee & spices) good knives and large pots for pasta made us feel right at home - and we dis prepare a few meals there. We also took advantage of the board games, puzzles and movies since we caught some rainy weather. We also loved the proximity to New London - breakfast at Tucker's was awesome and the musical at the New London Barn was incredible. What a gem of a theater to have in town! I also thought the abundance of hooks throughout the cabin were a great solution to the absence of a guest closet. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay!

Excellent place, just as described. Has everything for a great getaway to the woods, with beautiful views of the lake and mountain. House surrounded by pine trees. Swimming, kayaking/paddle boating/row boating, bonfires were great. Bring mosquito repellent, as you'll need it in the summer. Also, locals told us we were lucky to avoid their 5th season of the year - black fly season. Mod April through mid June (?) -- may want to read up on that. Also, if you are searching complete serenity, local highway is about half a mile away from the house, so you do hear occasional sound of car tires on highway, although I stopped paying attention to it pretty quickly. Overall it was a great experience in a beautiful setting and comfortable pleasant accommodations. We loved lounging on the lake near the bonfire. That was perfect! Would recommend the place and hope to be back. Thank you, Tina, for having the place fully ready for us and for seamless communication.

This was the perfect getaway for my family. The space is private but not isolated and cozy without feeling cramped. I would often find myself just staring at the beautiful vista. We did it all - boating, swimming, sitting by the fire - and it was all so easy. Just the recharge we needed!

We love going to our little cabin in NH. It's such a nice getaway. We look forward to others enjoying it as much as we do!
