One of the most important activities in Cappadocia is hiking through the valleys to explore the region as it is meant to be seen. I will take you through the valleys, the ancient churches of the 5th and 7th centuries complete with their beautiful frescos, into the pigeon houses and explain their historical significance, through cave homes, and amongst the fairy chimneys.
I have spent my life as a hiking guide, leading multi-day (and even weeks-long) tours from Spain to Jordan, and across North Africa for nearly 13 years when I was based in France. For the past eleven years, I have made my home back in my beloved Turkey, where I live in Avanos. I lead tours for all of those free-spirits who wish to experience Cappadocia from a native's perspective, away from the tour buses and trinket shops. We will enjoy fruits in season and history and conversation as I tailor your experience to your interests and abilities.
I hope you will come away loving this region as much as I do.
