We had a great time staying in this flat. Had the feel of grand opulence of days gone by, yet comfortable for our family and friends. Very large apartment. Fantastic location. We walked for miles each day!
The apartments high ornate ceilings and large windows allows one experience Paris that no equally priced hotel could match. And the location affords for early morning stroll in the Tuileries or a late night Rose which makes you feel like you’re a local.
Michel’s place is lovely. Located very conveniently near The Tuileries Garden and The Louvre, you’ll find yourself enjoying the surrounding streets and will soon feel right at home. The apartment is flooded with light in the mornings, but is breezy and cool. The house is very we…
This is a 3 bed apt (with one bed being a mattress on a straw mat). It is superbly located but more shabby than shabby chic.
Response from Michel:
Thank you for your comments. Our youngest daughter recently asked her bed to be replaced by a futon ( rice straw mat ) and I have not yet changed the photograph of the room. That will be done. I will check again the announce regarding beds. As our kitchen is a heavy duty one, I probably have not paid enough attention to the renewal of some dishes and glasses. Deep cleaning and review are underway. I am most surprised by the comment about limited crockery as we manage to cook and serve up to thirty people without problem: I probably have not shown all cupboards. Regarding kitchen towels, we provide to guests new ones as some of the ones we use daily might be a bit threadbare. If the comment applies to towels provided to guests in the bathroom, I am surprised as those are specially kept for our guests. Apart from a small packed soap bar and liquid soap bottle, we decided to leave the bathroom with no apparent toiletries after we received comments that our bathroom was left with our personal things. The postcards and photos on my elder'daughter's room door are typical coming from a former teenager ( she turned 20 this year) and I am afraid it is not negotiable...While I find them harmless, I realize that some might find them inappropriate. What I can do is recover them with a cloth. I'll do that next time young kids will come. Regarding welcoming items, I have mixed feelings: the first experiences were bad as we left fruits once ( they were left rotten by the guests), later a bottle of wine remained as it were despite the welcoming note. We also try to leave the fridge empty as this appears to be a general query. We try to have the guest feel welcome in the place we live in as a family; therefor I feel sorry that you did not feel so despite my efforts. I will remedy to all that can be fixed quickly. I remind that our place can be compared to the hotel next door ( h (Website hidden by Airbnb) we cannot reach the level of services nor maintenance provided by the hotel, we offer more family space and facilities experienced by locals at a fraction of the price requested by the hotel.
J'ai voyagé et vécu à l'étranger durant de nombreuses années et j'ai toujours apprécié vivre à la manière locale. J'espère que vous aussi apprécierez l'expérience de la vie parisienne familiale!
