Great location! Renovated 1920's property, high ceilings, hardwood floors, nice little interior courtyard with all the comforts of home. You'll be pleasantly surprised with the venues within walking distance. Oh! the places you'll go......

The space

This is a truly unique 1920's vintage property that has been completely renovated for your pleasure and comfort. If interested in an urban vacation experience, in Tucson on business, maybe a yoga workshop or a training athlete, this is the place.
Complete kitchen with granite counter tops and slate back splashes, lots of cooking utensils, and fully equipped . Comfortable and cozy in every way with flat screen television and satellite radio, Roku internet streaming, Netflix and local channels. Enclosed interior courtyard with outdoor seating for meals and relaxation. More than a wonderful alternative to a hotel stay, you'll be pleasantly surprised with the accommodations.

A bit about the 'hood. Close proximity to Downtown, 4th Ave. shopping , U of A - all within walking distance, great urban location!

We also provide locally roasted coffee, nice selection of teas, french press, fully functioning kitchen, nice toiletries and linens, too. Ask if there's something else you may need to enhance your stay....

Guest access

There are 2 studio apartments on this property with a shared courtyard, both with their own separate entries.

Interaction with guests

I like to greet my guests upon arrival and answer any questions they may have. I live only a couple of blocks away if anything should arise that needs my attention.

What can I say, Debra and her place are so great that I came back to Tucson and stayed in her lovely apartment again! Debra is a fantastic host and her casita is excellent - spacious, beautifully decorated with everything you could need for your stay.

You could not ask for a better host than Debra. She is incredibly helpful, keen to make sure you have everything you might need and full of great suggestions of places to eat and things to see and do in Tucson. The cottage is beautiful as is the courtyard that surrounds it. The cottage has wonderful period features, a well appointed kitchen and is so much more spacious than it first appeared in the website photos. The cottage is well situated, with the restaurants and nightlife of 4th Avenue an easy walk away and downtime a five minute drive. If you have the opportunity to stay at this property or an other of Debra's properties in Tucson take it - you will not regret it!

The apartment was absolutely perfect for our needs and we really enjoyed our stay. Close enough to walk into town.

Perfect location if you're there for a student --- close enough to the university but not too close to get caught up in all the traffic and students walking around! Very quiet!

Very nice 20's style bungalow. Walkable to most everything: UofA, 4th ave food and shops, and downtown. Debra was a warm and friendly host, helpful and knowledgeable about the Tucson area. I loved all the little extras she provided, from the coffee beans you can grind fresh each morning, to the aloe lotion in case you get too much desert sun) The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, plastic wrap and Tupperware for leftovers - it seemed like every time I thought "I wonder if she has this?", the answer was always Yes!

If you're looking for an authentic Tucson experience, stay in Debra's beautiful casita. It is spotless, comfortable, quiet, and the bed is wonderful. It's an easy walk to 4th Avenue, downtown or the UA campus. Debra is an outstanding host. She was flexible, friendly and her restaurant recommendations were spot on.

Debra is a lovely hostess. The layout and comfort of her place can't be beat! The location is in a part of Tucson we especially love - close to the University and the Downtown. The place was immaculate, well appointed, beautifully decorated and the privacy it afforded couldn't be beat. I loved sitting out on the front porch to have my (freshly ground) cup of coffee each morning in the fresh Tucson air.

Hi, I have lived in Tucson since 1987 in West University neighborhood. It is a very vibrant place, lots of fun and exciting things to do all within walking distance. Besides hosting new and interesting people, I am a blown glass artist, co-own a restaurant called Mother Hubbard's…
