From the villa you can easily access the enchanting towns of Cortona, Pienza, Montepulciano, Siena, Perugia, Assisi and Florence.

The space
Villa San Martino offers spectacular views across the famous Niccone Valley towards Mercatale di Cortona & Pierle and the villa is beautifully presented with a mix of antiques, quality Italian country furniture and original artworks.

San Martino has four generous double bedrooms and an additional room with two single children's beds and a cot. The two large bathrooms and the shower room are tastefully designed. The house has a large lounge and a substantial dining kitchen and a further smaller lounge area for relaxing. In addition there is a delightful reading room with views of the pool and garden.

The gardens are immaculately cared for and include large ornamental pots planted with bright seasonal flowers. The house is set back from a small local road and there is ample parking for 4 cars or more.

Enjoy the view from the infinity pool or barbeque and dine alfresco on the old millwheel table, San Martino has everything you will need for a relaxing and inspiring holiday.

Steeped in history Cortona has a wealth of mediaeval and renaissance architecture and epitomises the Tuscan hilltop town with panoramic views across the Val di Chiana. Citta di Castello and Perugia are all only 30 minutes away. Within an hour you can visit Montepulciano, Pienza or Assisi; Arezzo and Florence, Siena and Orvieto are less than 90 minutes away.

Local restaurants include: Trattoria Mimmi (people travel miles for their homemade pasta). Award-winning Chef Alberto cooks at the fabulous restaurant Calagrana, just 10 minutes from the villa. And Locanda del Molino has a wonderful reputation (owned by the renowned Baracchi family) and is just 10 minutes away too.

Hi We live on an organic vineyard making natural wine in East Sussex and we have The Granary, The Orangery and two shepherds huts as holiday accommodation on the farm. We have a villa on Tuscany/ Umbria border and rent out the villa there to cover some of the running costs, but we love to go ourselves every year, too.
