Our stay in Imlil was short but sweet. We stayed one night in Lahcen's amazing mountainside house and I'm so happy we decided to. Lahcen arranged for us to be picked up from Marrakech and the winding journey to the village was awesome in itself. When we arrived, the welcome from Lahcen alongside a traditional tea ceremony was wonderful. After that we simply relaxed on the incredible terrace and waited for our cooking experience in the evening which I greatly recommend. Overall, it felt like a very different more authentic experience than an ordinary hotel, but also incredibly comfortable and relaxing. I'd recommend this experience to anyone and already have to several of my friends. As the listing states, it is not 5 star luxury, but considering that the shower in particular was great and the house is comfortable. Ooh and the breakfast is phenomenal, plenty of homemade bread and yoghurt alongside a huge range of more typical breakfast fare. My friend had some trouble sleeping as the family stayed up quite late (I slept straight through) so if this is a problem of yours maybe bring some ear plugs.

It was pleasurable experience to stay at Lahcen's home. Really nice little village in Atlas. Not only serious trekking, you can do your own little walks around these little villages experiencing their way of life. When you reach Imlil, villagers are very helpful and get in touch with him to come and fetch us. We were warmly welcomed, he is very passionate about his tea ceremony. Nice experience. This time of the year, it gets really cold in the evening, so carry suitable clothing. Planty of blankets were provided, however only on our departure we realised that they have installed a electric heater in the room. It does seem like it operates on 'don't ask, don't get' policy, similar to Wi Fi. Both breakfast and dinner was lovely and his brother served us very well. As per one of the previous guests mentioned, if you are altering your stay or any additional service required please communicate and agree upon arrival. So overall, it is a nice stay and very pleasurable experience.

Our few days with Lahcen in the mountains were a highlight of our stay in Morocco. We felt very welcomed by the family and we were looked after so well. I will always remember the spectacular view from the terrace and the sound of the villages. Thank you for the amazing hospitality!

Lahcen, Hassan and family made our experience in Imlil something truly special. From the moment we booked Lahcen was always available for advice and help, arranging airport transfers as well as a guide & mule for our ascent of Toubkal (both our guide Omar and Hussain and his mule were amazing!). The house is a beautiful family home, very clean and very comfortable with an excellent terrace overlooking the valley. Meals were provided at a small reasonable cost (breakfasts were included) and Lahcen even arranged packed lunches for us on our trek. We had an incredible experience with an exceptional host who went out of his way to make sure everything was taken care of and that our comfort came above everything else. If you need a place to stay in Imlil, book this place with confidence.

My partner and I had an amazing time at the authentic toubkal lodge. We were met in imlil by Lahcen's brother and walked the ten minutes up to the lodge. We were immediately made to feel very welcome and we're given traditional mint tea, nuts/nibbles and dressed up in authentic Burber attire. We used the lodge as a Base for climbing Toubkal, spending two nights at the mouflons refuge before spending another night at the lodge. We were able to leave spare kit at the lodge whilst we were away which made life easier. Overall we both really enjoyed the stay, the food was superb, hospitality second to none and it provided us with a Burber experience we'll never forget.

Lahcen and his family were so welcoming to my friends and I, they went out of their way to make us feel at home. Our visit to the imlil Valley was my favourite part of the trip to Morocco. The beautiful food, good company and stunning surroundings made this homestay an unforgettable experience. Thankyou Lahcen.
