Valley and garden views

Soak up the views during your stay.
The Stables has a large private hot tub and garden, with panoramic views across open farmland, provides a wonderful bright and airy space to relax and unwind. Mostly on one level, with 2 bedrooms, living area, and conservatory kitchen/diner has a French gite feel about it. The property is secluded, yet guests can access all local amenities within a 2 mile radius and can walk or bike ride through miles of forest tracks straight from the door. Pets welcome. Canoeing, bike hire, Go Ape all close by

The space
The Stables is situated on the edge of the forest with panoramic views across open countryside. It is accessed down a Forest England track, providing a unique situation with no immediate neighbours. It is accessible to all amenities and recreational activities available in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. The hot tub, in the secluded private garden, is for the exclusive use of Stables guests, providing peace, tranquillity and far reaching views. The property is very well equipped with everything guests need to enjoy their stay and is tastefully decorated.
There is one large family bathroom accessed from the main bedroom. The building is 400 years old and has been converted from 3 stables with some internal steps.
We can provide our guests with special packages designed to help celebrate special anniversaries, birthdays etc. These include, flowers, photography session, cakes/ afternoon tea, balloon packages and meal ready when you arrive. All details will be available once you book via our website.
Please note that we live in a very rural area so please do not expect the same facilities as might be enjoyed in an urban environment. The forestry lane is bumpy and muddy but perfectly safe, so don't be alarmed. An Aston Martin may not be a good choice of vehicle! Wifi is available, but is subject to weather conditions, water logging and wild boar interference! These things are beyond our control so please be mindful if Wifi is critical to your stay. It is all part of the lifestyle!

Guest access
The owners may meet new guests at the property, show them in, and make sure that everything is to their satisfaction. If they are away, a key lock is available for guests to let themselves in. It is important for guests to understand that SAT NAV will not help them to find the property. The owners will email detailed directions upon booking.

Other things to note
Parking is available next to the property, which is accessed down a Forest England track. This can be bumpy at times depending on the weather, but is perfectly safe.
This road is not recognised by SAT NAV so clear directions are sent to guests prior to their visit.

Lives in England, United Kingdom
We have lived in the Forest of Dean since 1986 slowly renovating the property, as we raised our 4 children. We have both retired from the education sector and now work full time on our business. We love where we live and really enjoy sharing our little bit of paradise with our guests.
