The space

Independent self-contained apartment at one end of the house and totally locked away from the main part of the house.
Bathroom with shower and toilet, bedroom with QUEEN SIZE BED, living/kitchenette with bar fridge, hot plate, kettle, microwave, toaster, sink, cupboards, basic cutlery and big pantry.
Ceiling fans, tiled all over.

You'll find some tea, salt, toilet paper, cooking oil, some basics for you to use when you arrive. You'll need to renew them yourselves for your consommation if you stay longer than a couple of days.

POSSIBILITY TO USE MY WASHING MACHINE (IF YOU'RE STAYING AT LEAST A WEEK). The washing machine is in my part of the house.

If you plan to go to the GOLD COAST THEME PARKS (Movie World, Sea World, Wet and Wild, Dreamworld), good news, my house is only half an hour away, by car, straight by the freeway. There is an entrance/exit to the freeway at a mere 500 meters from my house. A combination of trains and buses also go there.

The metropolitan area extends in all directions along the floodplain of the Brisbane River valley between the bay and the Great Dividing Range. While the metropolitan area is governed by several municipalities, a large proportion of central Brisbane is governed by the Brisbane City Council which is Australia's largest Local Government Area by population. The demonym of Brisbane is Brisbanian, but is known to be Brisbanite.

Guest access

Independent access to the apartment (bedroom, kitchen and bathroom), backyard, clotheline, terrasse, car parking in the street. Guests staying at least a week can use my washing machine.

Interaction with guests

I'm happy to leave the guests on their own if they want but I usually always have a drink, a coffee or a meal with the guests, mainly depending how long they stay. Some guests have become friends and we're still seeing them. I'll be happy anyway to give you tips about the local things to do, the shops, the restaurants, etc.

The neighbourhood

Huge shopping center only 2 mn walk. Park at walking distance with training machines. Quiet area even if close to main roads.

Getting around

There is the busway (road dedicated to buses) station behind the shopping center where you can get to the CBD in 15 mn, station to station at the best times. Prices vary depending of the time of the day, the number of trips, you can buy a card. For more details I recommend to visit the Brisbane public transports site.
To go to the bus station at the shopping center you'll have to walk some 10 minutes. Very easy when the shopping center is opened as you can cross it, but in the early morning and afternonn, you'll have to walk around the center, which is a bit longer.

It is expected that you leave the place clean on the last day of your stay (kitchen, bathroom, dishes). Don't worry about the bed sheets and towels, we'll take care of that.

Nice Place to stay, excellent value for money. Jean-Marc is easy going person, who will help where he can. The place is amazingly quite for being basically next to one of the biggest shopping center's in Brisbane. Everything is in walking distance within 5 min. Anytime again

Jean-Marc's apartment is spacious and comfortable. I love the location. It's close to so many wonderful shops and the busway makes it very easy to get to downtown. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and spacious. Just note that there is no aircon and sometimes the heat in Brisbane in too much. Thankfully the mall is close by and the wifi is free! Overall, I would recommend this apartment for anyone wanted to live like a local and make a home in Brisbane. Jean-Marc is a very friendly and communicate host. And there are some great neighbors! I really enjoyed my time there.
