Where you’ll be

Tucson, Arizona, United States

We are about 1/2 mile from Oracle Road. There is a great hiking area right across Oracle with great views.
We are also about 5 minutes away from beautiful Catalina State Park where there is great hiking, nature trails, and 100s of Sahuaro Cacti that you can see.
We are near movie theaters, wonderful restaurants, the Tohono Chul Park that has an outstanding educational desert area, gift shop, and cafe. You can eat outside among flowering desert plants and watch the Hummingbirds birds feast on the nectar.
We have terrific restaurants nearby. Some are great local cafes and some are gourmet restaurants.
You can get to downtown Tucson easily by going straight down Oracle Road. Although not in town , the Gem show would only be 15-20 minutes from your Casita.

I love to travel. My passions are learning and horses. I like to combine the 2 if possible. Much of my travel has been horse related. I attended the Royal Windsor Horse Show in England, I drove horses through Bavaria with my guide, and I have galloped across the countryside in Ireland. I have also been to Paris, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Portugal to name a few. I have competed in many horse shows and now I compete in Combined Driving. I have a love of learning. I have an undergraduate education degree and a masters degree in secondary education. I enjoy learning the history of places I travel to and the places I live in. I have lived in Tucson since 1970 and have enjoyed learning the history of my city and the Southwest. I try to see the best in life. There are ups and downs but I believe you can make a very good life for yourself if you make an effort. There are so many things to see and do out in the world. I am fortunate to live on a ranch where horses are boarded and adults and children take lessons. I have known many of these lovely people for over 25 years. I think most people find my place to be peaceful and friendly. ...
