An unique 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, mediterranean villa located on the steep rocky faces of the Ligurian cost. Immersed in nature with a huge terrace overlooking the sea. The 160 m2 villa was built in 1965 and completely, elegantly restored in 2007.

The space

The villa is nestled in the Mediterranean wood, with a spectacular view of the sea from living room and spacious terrace all around the house: it looks as you're on a boat deck with the sea in front! The location offers comfort, peace, rare brightness, and harmonious sensation of nature. The villa has been the summer family house for more than fifty years. It has been completely restaured in 2007. Rooms are artfully decorated and elegantly furnished with fine Italian marine style. Bedrooms are bright airy. Kitchen is fully equipped, American style (dishwasher, washing machine, and many others electrical appliances included) and has large "window" looking through the living area to the sea. You cook with the view of the sea in front! Short distance to 4 rocky beaches: the one below the house is 300 steps down. The sea water is clear and swimming is joyful. You can play tennis in “Pian di Lavaggio” , 10 minutes driving distance. You will love the shower in the house back particularly coming back from the beach. Bus stop is 4 minutes walking distance. Very convenient (less than 10 minutes) is the walking distance to the train station. By train in 12 minutes you rich Monteresso (first tlittle town of “5terre”) and from there you make excursions for hiking in the beautiful "5 terre" (10 km. far) From the property it is also easy to enjoy visits in Portofino, Portovenere, Pisa, Genova (one hour driving distance). At request it is possible to have a lesson of Italian Cooking School at home, in English. Famous scuba diving center and school in the little port. Framura is a compound of five different but close villages: Anzo, Ravecca, Setta, Costa, Castagnola. They started to be built in 800 D.C. There are three medieval towers and the typical Ligurian little alleys called "caruggi", like in "5 Terre" villages."
Shops are located in the village Setta, ( 5 minutes driving distance, 25 minutes walking distance ).
There are: grocery market, delicatessen, bars, poste office, htm, tourist office, pharmacy, medical office, one pizzeria. Two well known seafood restaurants are located in the village “Costa” : "Silvia" and "Mery". A third one in the village "Anzo" , "Augusta" and the best, spectacural, with very good ligurian cuisine "l'Agave" above the little port. Supermarkets are located in little towns near by: Levanto ( 25 minutes far by car) and Deiva Marina ( 18 minutes far). Villa Duina offers a unique opportunity to experience a perfect Italian holiday, enjoying tranquility, enchanting nature, transparent sea, sports activities, fine food and wine, and famous historical sites.

This is a fantastic place. Just spent 3 nights here and loved it. Easy access to Cinque Terre and surrounding areas by train, foot and car. Really comfortable beds, 3 showers and all the facilities you will need to have a relaxing time away – it is a home away from home. The views alone will take your breath away and the beaches are easily accessible. Our host Floriana was brilliant, she was welcoming and gave us valued advice on places to visit and where to eat. I recommend this accommodation if you are looking for a little piece of heaven to recharge the batteries. Five stars in every aspect. Fabulous and Faultless

We loved our stay at Floriana's house. The house has breathtaking views of the seas from the very large and spacious wrap around terrace. The house was very clean, spacious and had all the amenities. The house was very well stocked with kitchen utensils, glasses, appliances, barbecue, towels, beach towels, soaps and I could go on and on. As for Floriana, she is the best host we have ever had by far. She is a wonderful and kind person with lots of love and enthusiasm. We highly recommend a stay at her place and hope we can visit again in the future.

Heaven with a view. Mama Flo treated us like family and we felt instantly connected with her and this stunning home. The view is for real. The space for eight of us, four kids, was perfect. In order to enjoy the view you have to have the stairs. We arrived by train which was easy to navigate. The walk from the station is not far or hard to find but very uphill so it was wonderful of Flo to give us a ride from the station. We BBQed for 4th of July and fell in love with Framura. We rented bikes near the station and explored near by towns, there is really nothing in Framura but a nice harbor, L'Agave restaurant (which was excellent) and wonderful places to swim and relax. If you are tired of the crowds in the Cinque Terre villages and want all the joys of the coast you must come to Framura. And Flo will make you feel like you are long lost relatives. We will be back as soon as we can.

Floriana's place was as gorgeous as it looked in the pictures. It was well-equipped with everything that you might need for a wonderful holiday for the whole family, a real retreat from the real world. Floriana herself was the icing on the cake. She was warm and welcoming, and really went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our stay, even going so far as to phone the local restaurants to find out which ones could accommodate the vegetarians in our party! This is a real gem of a listing, in a beautiful part of the country. Not to be missed!

We just spent 9 days in Casa Duina. The house is truly perfect and is much more than what you see in the pictures posted on AirBnB. PREPARE TO BE ABSOLUTELY AMAZED. Flo was an incredible host, who understands to make you feel welcome and special when you walk into her italian piece of heaven. The beauty of the wrap-around terrace facing the ocean will leave you breathless and it is the perfect place to watch the sunset over the Ligurian Sea. We were happy we rented a car (parking for guests right below the house) to navigate around and explore areas further away such as Portofino, Forte Dei Marmi and Portovenere. All five villages (Cinque Terre) are easily accessible by train. The train station is 5 minutes away by car/10 minutes away by foot. There are two tiny grocery stores in the village but bigger stores can be found in Levanto.

I have been working in school, in the arts, and theater all my life. Now I'm retired and I love my free time, but I like to work and being occupied too. I enjoy fine cooking. I have a cooking school at home and a little catering business. I read, listen to music, go to movies…
