In the center of Lucca, a taste of the past! An ancient apartment with antique furniture, nineteenth floor of terracotta, and lots of suggestions. 200m from parking, 30m from Via Fillungo, with private entrance and 2 bedrooms, fully organized kitchen, bathroom and large dining / sitting room. The modem is external, so you can take it with you throughout your stay.
The apartment has been closed for a year, but in July 2016 reopened renewed... waiting for you!

The space

Beautiful old apartment in the heart of Lucca renovated in 2016 after a year of closure. The apt is near bar, restaurant, shop, wine bar. The apt is just 20 meters from Via Fillungo (the main street) and 200 from Piazza Santa Maria (where you can park easily).

The apartment, recently renovated with elegant furnishings, has a beautiful dining room with kitchen and living room, bathroom with shower, two bedrooms: one double and one twin. Is rented with linen, towels and personal bathrobes. We have modem wifi (changed in june 2016), and you can take outside with you!

Flavia's apartment is special, not only being right in the heart of Lucca but being part of a C17th palazzo and appearing to have many original features still intact. As a result it is very atmospheric. She is an excellent host. We arrived 2 hours late having got lost in the countryside between Pisa airport and Lucca (road signs to Lucca are in short supply round there!) yet she was charming and kind when she met us, even though we had probably spoilt her Friday night, and went out of her way to find us a restaurant that was still open at 23.00. And it was very good too. Her brother was also most kind, helpful and informative.

We had a lovely stay in Flavia's apartment. The location in the heart of Lucca was fantastic and not far at all from cafes shops and restaurants. The apartment had everything we needed and was cleanly presented. He had left behind our pushchair in England so had to buy one when we reached Lucca. Flavia was really helpful in pointing us in the right direction and bought one without a problem. All in all a pleasing experience in a beautiful town. Thanks!

Our host was very friendly and welcomed us to our temporary home. The location was wonderful right in the centre of town. Unfortunatley it had a drawback being close to local Trattoria, was noisy until very late at night, sleep in the back room it is much quieter. WIFI did not work and although Flavia did try tofix for us. A great Italian exprience in a real old apartment.

An expensive (comparatively) but sadly poor experience. The great advantage of Flavia's apartment is it's location - right next to Via Fillungo. But I'm afraid Flavia needs to enhance the 'experience' if she is to charge the prices she asks. The apartment was gloomy; made more so by fused bulbs in the chandeliers in the mainroom and main bedroom. The bathroom had no hooks or rail for towels. The main bedroom had two bedside lights but one had no obvious socket to plug in to. Small things, really, but annoying. We had to ask for more toilet paper; there being only a roll with a few sheets left. We also informed Flavia that the wifi gizmo stated it was disconnected (which she didn't believe). She provided toilet paper and her brother's wifi gizmo. The latter connected to the internet but the download speed would have accommodated Methuselah's memoirs ... eventually. Then, in the morning, there was no hot water for a shower. Flavia later responded by text that we had switched off the water heater. I'm sure that's accurate. But my main recommendation to Flavia would be to provide an information sheet about how things work ... and which switches control what things. For a one-night stay this apartment lacked the basics. Some tea bags, coffee thingies and powdered milk would be basic. In our Edinburgh Air BnB flat ( for half Flavia's price) we provided tea, coffee, fresh milk, croissants and a bottle of wine. But then we want to welcome people to our wonderful and beautiful city.

Response from Flavia:
Hello Robert, I think your costs are different from mine (we are in Tuscany, in the center of one of the most beautiful city of Italy) and that's not my job: I rent the apartment on this website only when I have no friends or relatives, so of course it's not a B&B... but I do the best I can. Also, and frankly, I don't think 90 euro per night for an apartment for four people is much (the price here is almost 200/250 euros). But thanks for the tip, I had put in one bedroom antique drying rack for drying towels but now I bought one modern and replaced the one you indicated. Unfortunately, not everyone understands that choose to stay in a house with a floor of 1600 and exposed beams of 1600 is not the same as going into a hotel.

This is a lovely apartment in a lovely town. It stayed in 4 places over a week and really enjoyed this. The picture shows it with strong lighting - it is darker. But it has charm, oak beams, heavy doors & stone floor and this adds to the living historic sense of Lucca. It is well appointed. Although in the old town the carpark is 1-2 mins away. Flavia was very helpful - nothing was any trouble.

Our stay in Flavia's flat in Lucca was excellent, when we arrived Flavia was there to show us the apartment and give us some really helpful tips on where to go and what to see. The apartment itself is really well located, in the middle of Lucca, near to the main street, and we were well supplied with things at the flat, which has a great atmosphere, is quite spacious, and in an old building. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a stay in Lucca!

We really enjoyed our stay in Flavia's flat. The location was great - just off the Via Fillungo and close to the old city wall. The flat is a bit dark, but had what we needed and as we were out most of the time, location was everything. We were late arriving, but Flavia was accommodating, and made lots of really good suggestions for places to eat and drink. She was also very quick to respond when we had a question about an event in the city. Internet was a portable wireless thing, which meant we could carry it around the city with us during the day which was so great. Would recommend Flavia as a host!
