Interaction with guests
We are happy to meet new people, hear about their lives, and share advice about what to do in New Haven. These conversations are typically over coffee in the morning or when guests arrive and settle in. But we also respect people's privacy if they wish to be left alone.
The neighborhood is beautiful, full of historic single-family houses with lovely gardens. We have a guide to the nearby homes available for interested guests.
Public transportation and the Yale Shuttle are within a couple blocks of our home. Yale and downtown New Haven are about a mile away.
Other things to note
This listing is for the use of 2 bedrooms in a large home. It is not the entire home or apartment. Due to the quirks of the Airbnb listing system, it is posted in the entire home/apt category in order to show that it includes two bedrooms.
There are two steps leading to the bathroom.
Guests can come and go during their stay. It is useful to know when guests will arrive at the house, so that we are sure to be available to let them in.
My husband and I have lived in New Haven for over 25 years. We stay here because we think it is a great little city, and we enjoy the local theater, art and community.
We travel abroad regularly, and enjoy having visitors to our home.
