The space

The apartment is located in a country villa dating back to XV century on Lake Garda, in the picturesque village of Polpenazze, halfway between Salò and Desenzano. The Gardagolf Country Club is in the vicinity.

The complex offers several flats to let and some luxury facilities, such as pool with solarium, garden and underground parking.

Guests enter the apartment from the inner courtyard (the flat is on the ground floor). They are welcomed into a spacious living room composed of a dining area with a 6-seater table and a fully-fitted open plan kitchen, and a relaxation corner with a double sofa bed and a TV set.

Next to the living room there is the hallway, which leads to the box room and -opposite- to the bathroom with shower and washing machine; then, you walk up to the two bedrooms: the first one has a double bed and a spacious wardrobe, the second one comes with a single bed, a desk and a wardrobe.

The two bedrooms open out onto the outdoor verandah fitted with table and chairs where to enjoy the quietness of the surroundings and the lovely garden.

The neighbourhood

Polpenazze del Garda is a peaceful residential town just 3 km away from the Garda lake, located on the hills between Salò and Desenzano, where you can enjoy the panorama and relax taking a walk, dining in fine restaurants or taking a trip on a boat.
Sirmione and Desenzano are 20 and 15 km far from Polpenazze and are easily reachable by car. The closest beach is “Lido di Manerba”, only 3 km far from the apartments.
In addition at about 6 km from the apartments there is a shopping mall with supermarket, clothing and shoe shops, para-pharmacy, laundry and brico center.
One of the best restaurants of the area, Antica Trattoria Miravalle, is only 600 mt from the apartment, but many other restaurants and bars are available in the area.
Polpenazze is also home to the Castle of Polpenazze (2,7 km), a beautiful example of medieval fortified structure build up in the 15th century. Moreover the famous “Vittoriale” of Gabriele D’Annunzio, a marvellous enclosure of buildings, gardens, theatres and squares isn’t far away from Polpenazze. This area is also renomated for the production of Groppetto and Chiaretto wine and for olive oil.

In Polpenazze you have the possibility to relax but also to do many sport activities: Golf and Mini Golf in the Gardagolf Country Club (2.9 km); Tennis in Manerba and Padenghe; canyoning and rafting in “Val del Sole”, one of the best place recognized in Europe; fishing with an authorization in Manerba and Monega; Vela and windsurfing in Manerba, Desenzano, Bogliaco and Campione del Garda, kitesurfing in the high Garda Lake, which is a very well recognized area in Europe; horse riding by Azienda Agricola La Basia (1.8 km), biking and trekking by using the paths which are located around the whole Garda lake.

Getting here by car:
A4 motorway, exit Brescia Est or Desenzano del Garda, then follow the directions towards Salò.

The swimming pool will close on 30th of September for the winter season till the 1st of May.

For stays from 1st of April to 31st of October, per day per person to be paid in cash.

The flat was very well located in the cozy city of Polpenazze del Garda, and from the pool you have a beautiful view over the west bank of Lake Garda and the Garda Lake itself. The apartment is spacious, newly renovated and comes will all needed amenities, and is situated in an old charming building with a nice yard. Very suitable for groups and/or kids. Some of the disadvantages is that it is offered by a rental company, which complicates the communication after the booking on AirBNB. Furthermore as it is a new building and all amenities are new, not everything is thought through. E.g. the vacuum cleaner only fit in two outlets in the apartment, and no bedside lamps are installed. Small things, but things that should be in place in such a luxurious apartment. We had some issues with parking, with the outcome that one of the cars needed to be parked in the street, even though we informed the host on the number of cars prior to arrival, and had confirmation that there would be garages for all cars.
