This friendly three-bedroomer sits right in the middle of Vesterbro and close to everything in Copenhagen. Here's all the things you'd expect from a family-friendly apartment – including great beds and hyggeligt kitchen. We look forward to welcoming you to our great neighbourhood!

This is from VisitCopenhagen's website, but the recommendations are really good!

Traditionally a working-class area and famous for it’s red light district, Vesterbro has gone through quite a change. Here's a few reasons to go.

Few things say ‘hygge’ better than Central Hotel & Café, the world’s tiniest hotel just off Værnedamsvej. Getting a room here is hard (since there is only one), but Vesterbro is one of the areas in Copenhagen which houses the most hotels.

In Vesterbro you’re lucky enough to have a selection of quality restaurants covering all ranges of cuisines and price ranges. From the rustic to the more refined like Restaurant KUL located in The Meatpacking District.

Flush down your dinner with a cocktail at Lidkoeb on Vesterbrogade. Tucked away in a charming little courtyard and recently voted among the world’s 50 best bars.

Showing you one of the stages would have been the simple choice here. Instead, here’s a picture perfectly encapsulating the slick, original 1950’s architecture that makes Vega on Enghave Plads/Enghavevej such a unique space and one of the youngest listed buildings in Denmark.

Made up of The White, The Brown and The Grey Meat City, The Meatpacking District – Kødbyen – makes up the beating heart of Vesterbro’s nightlife. But apart from clubs, restaurants and bars locals go for the galleries, the shops and the cultural activities like the popular food market.

Westmarket on Vesterbrogade/Valdemarsgade just opened this January and is a must if you happen to find yourself in Vesterbro looking for a treat someday.

Vestre Cemetery/Vestre Kirkegård – locals go to this beautifully green cemetery (which is technically just outside of Vestbero) not only to pay their respects to the dead or for religious purposes, but just as much simply to kick back and enjoy some fresh air in natural surroundings.

Anders’ flat is lovely and cosy beyond what the pictures show. Three of us stayed in the flat very comfortably. Anders made our stay even better by being incredibly nice and accommodating, waiting up for us while we were delayed, sharing a list of recommended places to visit and being on call for every question. We had a great chat the first night and got to meet his lovely daughter and felt immediately welcome and at home. The flat has a charm to it, every comfort we wanted (including coffee, charging cables galore and an Apple TV) and a small courtyard where you can smoke if you need to. We would recommend it and return to it anytime! The only downside, as expected in most places in Copenhagen, was the size of the bathroom/toilet, but we managed.

Ander's apartment is in a lovely part of Copenhagen. It was the perfect base for exploring on our bikes. The apartment itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed.

The apartment was great. The bathroom however, is pretty small. All in all, Anders is a great host and I highly recommend his property.

The apartment was exactly as described—cozy (but with plenty of space for both me and my dad)—and in a lovely, family-friendly neighborhood with lots to eat, see and do close by. Public transportation was a breeze. We purchased a 48-hour Copenhagen Card at the Visitors Center that facilitated our trip. It provides entrance into all the museums, sites and parks that were on our list and is used on all public transportation. Anders greeted us upon arrival with notes on recommendations (many were already on our list, so it was nice to have them confirmed). He was a gracious host—once we told him some of the things we were hoping to do, he did some independent research and emailed us with further recommendations. The apartment is a 2nd story, walk-up in an charming, older building. The kitchen was well equipped, the bathroom efficient and the beds were comfortable. The space was super clean with lovely art in every room and a solid wi-fi connection. We highly recommend Anders’ apartment for your stay in Copenhagen. Thank you, Anders! A+++
