AWESOME location and sweet, comfy apartment. Abdel was very communicative and his aunt and uncle (who live on the first floor of the building) are so so kind. You have to leave the apartment and use the wifi on the first floor outside of Abdel's family's apartment. Note: we found it difficult to sleep at times because the call to prayer (the speaker is right outside the apartment) and birds (consistently in the tree next to the bedroom) were loud from 5:30-7:30am - manageable but annoying. Regardless, I would stay again!

Staying with Abdel was wonderful! He was easy to communicate with prior to arriving, and he gave us a landmark to tell the taxi driver. His uncle was waiting for us there and showed us to the apartment, which is very comfortable. It was kind of cold indoors, but there were enough blankets to keep us warm at night! Abdel showed us around the medina of Asilah, which is absolutely beautiful. He also showed us a great place for dinner and was very available to us with everything we needed.

Nice location inside the Medina and very near to lots of places to get food. Nice terrace. A bit hard to find, esp. as our mobile phone did not work, but we just asked a nearby shopkeeper who happened to know Abdel and called him.

What an amazing experience we had in this flat in Asilah! Asilah was the first place we stayed in Morocco, and the hospitality and warmth here set the tone for the rest of the trip. Abdel was very easy to work with via email and always responded very quickly. He is so extraordinarily helpful and so gracious about it, as well. Abdel is sincere, kind, and fun to be around—a great combination. The flat is very comfortable and we slept very well there. The kitchen came in handy (for breakfast, we indulged in all the fruit available at the nearby market) and the sitting area was spacious and welcoming. The big bathroom always had hot water and great water pressure. The apartment is in a perfect location within the medina's walls, but close enough to a gate so you can explore outside the medina's walls, too. What made this such a memorable experience was Abdel's family; so welcoming, so warm, so hospitable—it truly felt like we were family. I can't say enough to thank Abdel and his family for this introduction to Morocco! This is a true find and I encourage you stay here!!

It was a wonderful stay at the apartment. We just had some problems with the warm water, but Abdel fixed it at the same day. He showed us Asilah and spent much time with us. We felt very well there. Also his family is very nice and we felt welcome since the first moment. We are very lucky about our choise, to rent this apartment via THIS host. Just great and very wonderful and relaxed holidays. Sukran :)

Abdel was an amazing host! Definitely went above and beyond most of the airbnb locations we've stayed at. He showed us around the city and was available whenever we need help getting around. As for the house, it was exactly like the pictures. The location was perfect because it was right in the middle of the medina which is only a 5 minute petit taxi ride away from the train station. Definitely recommend this airbnb! Clean, affordable, and we had a wonderful time!!
