The cozy renovated cottage is located in the amazing alpine valley of Zgornje Jezersko, surrounded by the peaks reaching over 2500 m above the sea level. The view of the peaks is possible straight from the cottage.
It is a perfect retreat for active people, hikers or just to chill.
Suitable for couples, however, the full capacity is 4 people.
Despite being in the middle of a tiny village, it is very private. Please check also our larger 2nd cabin, only 20m away! Perfect for two family retreat.

The space
The cottage has a living room, kitchen with dining area, bathroom, garden and a terrace on the ground floor; master bedroom is upstairs and it has it's own balcony with an amazing view towards the peaks.
To be noted: steps to the bedroom are steep.
Upstairs bedroom has one queen size bed, and downstairs in the living room, you will find a comfortable queen size sofa bed.
From the living room, there is a straight access to the wood floor terrace and the garden with dining table, bbq equipment, resting chairs etc...

Please keep in mind,
the cottage is not centrally heated, there is a closed fireplace (with electric heaters as a backup) in the living room is the main heating source in the cold months, when done right it kicks ass!
In winter months cabin is always pre-heated for your arrival.

SHOPPING:
There is a 6 days per week open supermarket 7 min walking distance, few restaurants (10 min) and another restaurant by the lake nearby (20 min).

LOCATION AND TRANSIT:
as mentioned the cottage lies in the middle of a small village. However, despite that it is still very private, surrounded by trees, wood, garden and a parking place.
The garden, terrace, and the balcony are facing towards the Alps which gives great views from the first thing in the mornings when the sun lit up the mountains like candles, till the setting sun when all the magic happens again.

TO DO:
There are many hiking opportunities, lots of trails for easy hiking, advanced hiking and climbing. In winter there are options for cross country skiing, snow sledding and around the corner (45min by car) there is reasonably large ski resort Krvavec.

Zgornje Jezersko is a valley in the very brink of the Alps. In the valley, there is a small and quiet village. Along the main road through the valley, there are few options for dining or drinking.
The glacier lake is only 25min by foot from the cottage. However, it is a glacier lake and therefore water is very cold. The bravest ones do swim though!
