Rebecca's place is great. The location is absolutely beautiful. It is waterfront with a deck, fireplace, picnic area, BBQ grill, and hot tub. It's pretty close to the airport and a bay that many tour groups operate out of. We really enjoyed our time here and feel it was a much better choice than any of the hotels in town for comfort, price, and waterfront location.

This was our first time using AIRBNB and 'Becca was a wonderful host and very understanding of my confusion with booking and last minute travel changes. We enjoyed our stay; welcoming and friendly hosts, laid back atmosphere, and clean quarters. Now, let's get down to the nitty gritty. THE VIEW and THE LOCATION Each morning, we enjoyed coffee in the breakfast room watching the activities of eagles. Each afternoon, on the back deck, we watched seals, eagles and porpoises hunt their dinners. Binoculars are a must but if you forget yours, 'Becca has a backup pair. The location offered close proximity to the airport, Shrine of St. Therese and the Jensen-Olsen Arboretum not to mention the Glacier with downtown Juneau about 15 minutes away. We rented a car at the airport and had no problem with parking or getting around. Beds are comfortable and the space was clean. We used the heat one night as the weather turned chilly. Note, the TV is really a DVD player.

This was a wonderful place to call home while we explored the hiking trails around Juneau. Comfortable, well appointed, great amenities, easy in and out. It was nice to be on the water and north of town.

We enjoyed everything about out stay! This was our (my coworker and I) first stay at an AirBNB place, and it surpassed our every expectation. We contacted Rebecca early about the possibility of an early check since our schedule was weird. Every communication that I had with Rebecca was very accommodating, timely, and professional. She was a delight to talk with, and I knew that we would be welcomed to her home as soon as we got there! On the day of check in, we had a little trouble finding the place. It was made a little more difficult as we were looking for a place that looked like the pictures. When we finally found the cabin, we were surprised that it was behind her actual home as some of the pictures led us to believe that the deck was attached to the cabin and that the views presented in the pictures were those from the cabin. When we checked in with Rebecca, she was very welcoming and gave us the tour of the place and all it had to offer, including a hot tub, the outdoor fireplace, and kayaks. She definitely made us feel like "Mi casa es su casa!!" Upon entering the room, we were in love. Everything was clean and neat and there was plenty provided for our two night stay. The room was easy to access, and parking was great too (just outside the front door). The cabin was really close to just about everything in Juneau. It is about 15 minutes from the airport and about 30 minutes from the downtown area. The cabin is not that far from the Mendehall Glacier and the Shrine of St. Therese. There is a Safeway not too far from the cabin either and it is located about 5 minutes from the post office (which is necessary with all the souvenirs you will spend money on from the downtown!) Rebecca and her family provided us with plenty of privacy, and we actually didn't get to see them again the entire time we were there (with the exception of the day we checked in!) The only complaint that we have is that there were no blackout curtains! Both mornings that we were there, we woke up before 0500 thinking that we were late for something because we had slept all day! We highly encourage anyone wanting to stay in Juneau to check out Rebecca's cabin. It will be an experience you will not forget! (My co-worker and I even discussed the fact that we would love to live in the cabin like this with our spouses if we didn't have kids!)
