Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
One bedroom available in a 2br apartment. Large living room and kitchen and two sunny balconies. Five minutes from Materdei subway stop, a few minutes ride to both the hill top and the sea! 15 min walk to the national Museum, 20 to piazza Bellini.

The space
Guests will have a private room with a very comfortable double sofa-bed. The room has large french windows that open on the balcony, facing SW.
Large open space kitchen/living room, and two sunny balconies with plants and flowers, ideal to sip a coffee in the morning or read a book in the afternoon!

Guests may access the kitchen if they need to cook, both balconies and a shared bathroom.

A quiet residential neighborhood halfway toward the Capodimonte hill, a few steps from a subway stop, or a 10-15 minutes walk to the historical center of the city down the hill (uphill will take you a bit longer).

Subway stop Materdei, two stops from Dante, the heart of the historical center, and three stops from P. Vanvitelli, the heart of leafy Vomero neighborhood.

I have two adorable cats, who share the apartment with me --and my guests. They are the sweetest thing, very affectionate and quiet.

Where you’ll be

Napoli, Campania, Italy

The neighborhood of Materdei is right on the hill behind Museo Archeologico. There is an old section around via Materdei, where you can find renowned pizzeria Starita. And a new section, further uphill, mostly built at the beginning of the Twentieth century: beautiful building and private gardens. My building is from the late 1960, and it has an incredible light exposure. Rather quiet and residential, there are two big supermarkets right down the building and a couple of cafes nearby.

hi there, I was born and raised in Naples in this very house. But I grew up and lived abroad most of my adult life. Mostly in the United States, New York, New Hampshire, China and Hong Kong. I have just recently moved back from New Orleans Louisiana. I love to travel, I love plants and I work at university as a professor.

During your stay

I leave my guests full autonomy and tend to be at work most of the day. But if you need any advice or suggestion, I would be obviously glad to help!
