About this listing

The Tree House is elevated and built amongst the tree tops. It has a cosy, spacious and light ambience . A short walk through a wooded valley, following a pretty stream with a mill pond leads to a quiet and sheltered cove that's good for swimming with a natural diving pool in the rocks refilled with every tide. (see photo of children jumping in it!) Or enjoy the spectacular views of the Pembrokeshire National Park while foraging for mussels in the cove then cooked al fresco is a delicacy.

The space

The unique location and access to the coastal path and cove is a great draw. There is a sense of being in the trees as it’s built on the side of a National Trust valley which holds the highest conservation status.
We moved here because we can just walk out of the house with a cup of tea in hand and stroll to the headland in minutes, stepping into wilderness. My dream was to live in a place with nothing between me and the sea.

Guest access

From the shared parking area, there is a path parallel to the Pink House (available for renting through airbnb also) which leads to a shared garden area with apple trees, great for playing in and climbing.
For privacy, there is a decking area at the rear of the property which is quiet and secluded accessed from the living room through patio doors.

I am usually available and happy to help, if not we have other phone numbers for guests to contact if I'm unavailable.

Em and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful 'treehouse' just outside the town of Solva. Elizabeth was the perfect host, and was kind enough to give us a little tour and answer our queries. The house is very cute and well equipped for a comfortable stay in a beautiful part of Wales. As beach loving people from New South Wales in Australia we were entranced by the coastline in old South Wales. The five minute walk down a small valley to the small inlet is brilliant. I also recommend walking along the cliff tops towards Solva and to the Royal George pub where you can some fine food and beer, and also meet the locals and their dogs. All in all, a perfect antidote to some of the more hectic cities and towns we had visited just prior to this one. Diolch in fawr iawn!

Lovely little wooden house in a perfect location for walking trails. There is a swing hung high on a tree perfect for kids and bid kids.

We had a wonderful stay at the tree house, great annotated home made map of the local area. Beautiful walks and scenery - enjoyed jumping off the rocks into the sea and the great rope swing - enjoyed by the whole family. 'Swallows and Amazons esque ' surrounded by woods with a fairy bridge and stepping stones.

My husband and I could not have asked for a better location. We loved being just steps away from the coast and the coastal trail. We loved the location relative to Solva where we walked along the coast to and from dinner a few nights. The hand drawn map Elizabeth made is pretty handy too; we spent plenty of time exploring the immediate coastline near the house. The house itself is cute, plenty for the two of us for a week. Others have commented that the house needed some updates, but that didn't bother us. We simply thought the house had character. This is definitely a lovely spot if you are looking to get away and enjoy the outdoors.

This is a cozy retreat that is very clean and tidy. If you love nature and walking, then this is the perfect place to stay. An easy hours walk into St Davids along the coastal path is highly recommended. You can also take the path the other way to Solva. Loved the tree swing. Great place for families to enjoy a relaxing stay. Benefit that dogs are welcome. Thank you.

Peter, my late husband and Imoved here 30yrs ago to run a gallery and bring up our family in this beautiful location. I loved making my morning coffee and wandering along the coast path only minutes from our home, sipping it as I walked.
I now teach mindfulness in schools and to adults in our community.
