Fun bright small bungalow in midtown Sacramento.
Dear potential renter,
I haven't been able to take new pictures, but please be aware:
The house is really only suitable for one couple (king size bed) and one toddler (one toddler bed, although a baby could also sleep in the big bed or a pack-n-play). There are no other beds in the house.
We've moved the furniture around from these pictures, but the style and level of comfort are same. A couple with a toddler would be pretty set up, since we now have a bookshelf of toys and books. There is no childproofing in the house. We are also fine with dog visitors and have a fenced backyard.
The house is pretty unplugged: no tv, no wireless. Lots of books.
You'll be located within walking distance to public transit, the local co-op food store, lots of restaurants, the finest coffee shops in Northern California, and wonderful parks.
Some FAQs that should be helpful...
Question: "Is there parking?"
Answer: We have one guest parking permit, and one driveway for off-street parking. So two cars can park here, or else you're moving the extra cars around every two hours from 8am to 10pm.
Question: "Do you live in the house as well, or would it be all to ourselves?"
Answer: We leave town when we rent the house. You'd never see us.
Question: "I read in a review that the street is quite noisy. How bad is it? Will we have a hard time sleeping at night, or do you think it's okay if we wear earplugs?"
Answer: On warm nights, it is noisy on Friday and Saturday nights, especially as the bars close. If you're sensitive to street noise, I would most definitely recommend a good set of earplugs.
Question: "How safe is this area of Sacramento? I'm not familiar with Sacramento, but if we're walking from the house to downtown or throughout Midtown and back home at night, will we be safe?"
Answer: We personally think it's safe. We walk and bike around at night alone and together quite frequently, with no issue. I would bet you'd be fine walking home from downtown. Again, we can't predict anything... there's an element of risk anywhere. Everyone should use common sense and be safe (be observant, alert, walk in groups, etc.).

Interaction with guests
We've never come into direct contact with guests. We interact primarily via email and text messaging, and occasionally over the phone.
No smoking. Bicycles are not for guest use. No other rules, really. Please just respect our home and have fun.
