The space

People who love the idea of traditional french rustic charm will love La Maison Blanche. With big open fires and huge rooms - each one decorated with quirky touches. There are two double bedrooms and then three interconnecting single rooms (which are perfect for kids). The kitchen is huge and fully equipped in a french farmhouse style. The outside space is huge and we have a barn with table tennis and a fleet of bicycles for guest use. There is one bathroom and one shower room. You can also use our grand dining room, sitting room and kids sitting room.

The entire house save for a room locked off containing our stuff! You can have use of our bikes, our table tennis table, table football and trampoline. The kitchen comes with dishwasher, fridge-freezer and large range cooker. Plus all cooking utensils etc travel cot and high chair available

We won't be there at all but have an english speaking person who can come and give you the key on arrival.

Gensac is a tiny village in the Haute Pyrenees. It is inbetween two larger villages of Maubourguet and Vic en Bigorre. It equals total relaxation and getting away from it all. Great food, great wine and nothing much to do except visit local markets and read books or play games.
It is fifteen minutes drive to Marciac which plays host to an annual jazz festival and is just an hours drive to the Pyrenees if walking or cycling is your passion. Only 45 minutes from picturesque Pau.
There are several lakes and swimming pools nearby which open in July and August.

Not really you will need a car - or a bike!

We are currently renovating this property and some elements of it remain a little unfinished but we hope we have reflected this in the price. It is a very very old house and it IS full of character and charm and with loads of space for you to be here in a group and still not feel in top of each other.

Other things to note

We are currently renovating this property and many elements of it remain a little unfinished but we hope we have reflected this in the price. It is also a very very old house and with that does come a slightly rambling nature but it IS full of character and charm and with loads of space for you to be here in a group and still not feel in top of each other.

House Rules
House Rules

Treat the house as you would your own. It is our lovely holiday home and we are proud of all the hard work we have done on it and just want you to enjoy it. We have very old neighbours who we have worked hard to befriend so would prefer that they had no cause to complain but the space is so huge it's unlikely anyone can hear loud music etc unless you REALLY went for it!!
