Simplicity meets luxury.
A humble house in a stunning beach environment.
FOR ONE PERSON ONLY!!!
For SINGLE travelers ONLY!
A simple small house - 1 guest bedroom, shared bathroom and toilet, kitchen access. Located in a stunning garden and beach setting. Loads of animals live in the surrounding park. Watch baby monkeys playing on the tree in front of the house while different birds are chirping the background music and colorful lizards scurry by.
Sometimes we face water pressure problems, so you might enjoy an original water saving and environmentally friendly Eco bucket shower. Even if the taps are dry, there is always a sufficient water reserve
Two keys for your room (safety grill and door) and kitchen key (fridge).
I'll be most of the time available to give advice and answer any question. I can assist with safari bookings, car rentals and pick-up from airport. Breakfast and other meals can be organized at an extra fee.
Close to attractions like Haller Park (an afternoon safari with giraffes, crocs, hippos, giant tortoises and several other animals in a lush setting), Ngomongo Village, Butterfly Park, dive centers, 2 kite surf centers, jet ski, deep sea fishing, catamaran or dhow sailing - all in short walking distance.
5 minutes walk to a small shopping center with a small basic supermarket, pharmacy, safari offices, cyber cafe, hair and beauty salon, petrol station with shop, bars and restaurants from 0* - 5*.
Very recommended the 0* local corner restaurant which serves freshly cooked Swahili (coastal) cuisine. On Fridays they prepare a most finger-licking Biriani (the Swahili wedding dish) - don't miss that.
Italian, German, Ethiopian and local restaurants and bars nearby. Be sure, you won't be bored.
By the beach you find a number of International hotels and beach restaurants to the North and Kenyatta Public Beach (commonly known as Pirates after the beach bar) to the South. A special event on Sundays, when everybody goes to the beach. There is also a fish market where you can buy the freshest fish possible, but there is also a local restaurant which has awesome freshly fried fish. Try it with coconut sauce and coconut rice. You'll be back the next day
A short matatu or tuk-tuk ride away are 2 shopping malls (City Mall /Nakumat and Naivas Center), local villages and entertainment centers.
A few steps to Mombasa Marine Park with all kind of water sports: surfing, kite surfing, snorkeling, diving, jet ski, deep-sea fishing, sailing on ancient dhows or on modern catamarans
Most important things are in walking distance. The almost iconic Kenyan Matatus (14 seater Nissan mini busses) serve the Mombasa - Mtwapa route 24/7. Taxis, Tuk-Tuks and motorbikes are easily available, car hire (with or without driver) can be arranged.
Two keys for room (grill and door) , key to kitchen (fridge)
Interaction with guests
Any help you need.
Other things to note
In a country like Kenya occasional power cuts are normal. Most power outages are usually during the day, so you won't be too much affected. For the rare times of black-out during the night you find a rechargeable lamp in your room.
Also the water supply is not always guaranteed, but there is always a sufficient water reserve.
Treat the place and it's inhabitants with respect and feel at home :)
No shoes in the house (to ease the constant battle against the beach sand)
No guests visitors inside the room
Please switch lights and fan off when leaving the room
