Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
My house is a 3 bed (but 1 room locked for storage) it has 2 king-size bedrooms & boasts epic sea views of St. Michaels Mount, Newlyn harbour & the nearby countryside.

It has parking for one car, a must in Newlyn!
No through traffic, a large decking & a peaceful enclosed garden to relax in.

A great location to explore the great outdoors, with Penzance, St.Michaels Mount, St.Ives, Mousehole, The Minack Theatre and Land's End, all within 8 miles! Plus it's <180 yards to Newlyn School of Art.

The space
Totally renovated during 2019, this spacious house has a modern kitchen-diner with seating for six people, lounge, 2 kingsize bedrooms, a family bathroom and downstairs WC.

Size wise it's actually a 3 bed, semi-detached house but one bedroom is locked for storage.

At the rear of the house is an enclosed lawned garden and decking area with great sea and coastal views. The front of the house boasts off road parking for one vehicle. It is situated in a quiet residential area with no through road.

'Crest haven' has a modern, clean and understated spacious interior, which is heated by gas central heating.

The stylish brand new kitchen-diner (with 32" smart TV) has space for 6-8 diners. Whilst the kitchen itself benefits from a large fridge freezer, integrated dishwasher and washer / dryer. The kitchen has all the utensils you would expect in your own home and it is a great entertaining space.

The lounge can seat 5 people comfortably and has a 43" Smart TV utilising the fast fibre-optic internet. There are French doors to access the decking and garden. Additionally there is a selection of family games and Cornish and local interest books, as well as information leaflets for a range of local tourist attractions. Local Ordinance Survey maps are also here, making it a perfect space to relax and plan the next days adventure.

Regrettably the lounge fireplace is NOT able to be used, as the flue and chimney have been blocked. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LIGHT A FIRE!

The decking has wonderful views out across Mounts Bay and a dining table for 6 people. There are three steps to the small lawned garden, as perfect place to sunbathe or for the kids to play safely. There is outside lighting, as well as decking lighting.

The hallway has a Wc situated under the stairs. The family bathroom has a generous shower cubicle and a double ended bath, as well as the basin and toilet. The LED basin mirror is wonderful, when used as a stand alone light for a relaxing bath.

Bedroom 1 & 2 have a stylish kingsize beds, wardrobe and a chest of drawers. The view from the master bedroom over looking the sea, is wonderful and I often spend too long gazing out.

At the side of the house guests will find a full height double washing line, useful for family living.

Guest access
You can let yourself in when you arrive - I'll tell you the code for the keysafe / lockbox.

Guests have access to the whole house; drive, decking and enclosed garden.

Other things to note
The House is at the top of a very, very steep hill! However, parking is right outside or use the bus stop 100 metres away from the property.

Unfortunately due to the nature of the house, the property is not suitable for wheelchair users.

Parking in Newlyn is very limited. Luckily there is parking for one car at the house and another can be parked opposite or in a nearby street.

Again...The fire place CANNOT be used!!

Neighbourhood highlights

Newlyn is set in West Penwith which is an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and my house is walking distance to the newest International Dark Sky Park (IDSP).

The neighborhood is small and quiet and a short walk from nature and the village, is at the bottom of the hill.

At it heart Newlyn is a beautiful and thriving fishing village. Newlyn has local conveniences such as small supermarket (Co-Op), pharmacy, bakeries, coffee shop (The Duke), pubs, an independent cinema and the renowned art galleries and Newlyn School of Art.

Being a bustling fishing port Newlyn offers fresh produce from the sea every day, available from the fishmonger (past the harbour and on the way to Mousehole) or at the numerous restaurants; Seafood (Mackeral Sky & Argoe), gastro pubs (The Tolcarne Inn), Italian and takeaway's; Chinese, Fish and Chips.
Any trip to Cornwall has to include Cornish foods including the Cornish Pasty, Meadery's and local ice cream. The best Cornish Pasties in my opinion are available at 'Aunty May's ' bakery at the bottom of the hill. These pasties sell out quick, don't miss out!
Meadery's are restaurants which are unique to West Cornwall. Newlyn meadery serves simple meals in a medieval setting, eaten with your fingers from wooden plates and drank down with local 'Mead wine'. Another of my favorites is 'Jelbert's Ice Cream' shop - locally made vanilla ice cream; locals have it with a dollop of Cornish clotted (thick) cream and a flake.

The next village along is the picturesque fishing village of Mousehole, (famous from the book 'The Mousehole cat') which is only a 40-60 minute walk along the picturesque coast where you can sit on the white sandy harbour beach or bath in the refreshing clear sea water. Mousehole also has numerous restaurants, art galleries and a lovely old pub; The Ship Inn.
Alternative you can easily walk across Newlyn Green and the Penzance Promenade to the Jubilee Bathing Pool and then onto the town of Penzance.
