We stayed here over Labor Day weekend and had a wonderful time. The property is truly amazing. We had 2 small families including 3 young kids and we were very comfortable. We spent hours outside during the day, where the kids had tons of safe space to play in the grass. Perfect mix of sun and shade. We all loved exploring on the trails down to the river and the swimming was fantastic and easily accessible. Lots of adult fun around the campfire at night too. Manzanita is an awesome little beach town and is only a 15-20 minute drive. We would love to come back for another adventure, and I would recommend this sweet spot to anyone!! Also, it was great to meet Stephen at checkin. He was super friendly, laid back, and helpful. You can tell they truly love and care about this place too, which makes it even more special.

These folks are warm and informal, and their property is fairly magical. We stayed for a long weekend away from Portland for two families with small kids, and is was GREAT. Fed the fish at the nearby hatchery, played croquet, hit the badminton birdie around, fished, hiked the creekbed past the waterfall and up to the hatchery, roasted a thousand wienies over the firepit by the light of the twinkle-lights, horsed around with the hosts' waterguns, went to the coast, grilled some ribs, drank too much, stayed up too late, and generally had a ball -- and so did the kids! We normally camp for this sort of a get-together, but this house had everything we wanted from a campsite (seclusion, nature, quiet, stars, no cell service) AND a comfortable house that was plenty big enough for four adults and three little boys. The firepit is even set apart from the house, so the fires felt more camp-tastic than we'd expected. We would occasionally catch a glimpse of the campers in the tipi site that shares the property, but it was never weird. We didn't manage to catch any fish, but the water was low (and we're kind of terrible at fishing).

The hosts were fantastic and the place was on a magical piece of property...beautiful river and great for fishing, a terrific firepit with twinkly lights surrounding the front of the house and some of the yard. It's a great tranquil spot but also close enough to the coast for some beach time and some good dining out! We will definitely be back!

My family of three and another family of four stayed here for a holiday weekend. We all were very pleased with our experience. Stephen and Tamara were warm and welcoming. The cabin was had plenty of space inside and out. It was well stocked with games, beds, lots of space for running and playing tag, a croquet set, a fire pit and was a short hike to a lovely fish and rock filled river. The kitchen had everything we needed including a coffee grinder, a large coffee maker and plenty of kitchenware. We are looking forward to a return trip next year. We were very happy.

This truly is an amazing property. It is a beautiful and remote (URL HIDDEN) 4 boys loved running around and exploring. There is a great fire pit as well as a nice covered area with a gas grill that came in handy when it rained. It was a lot of fun to play by/in the river. We felt the house could use a little fixing up, but it has a great fireplace and living room to hang out. It was well stocked with everything we needed. This is a great getaway. Stephen met us at the property to show us around was very friendly and responsive.

We had a magical time at Riverberry lodge for our 20th anniversary. We fished, clammed, crabbed, explored and played crochet, cooked in kitchen and grilled outback in a beautiful setting. House had all the amenities and lots of charm. Stephen is very cordial and informative!! We will be back to this secluded gem. The Lawson's 6/5-10/2016

Stephen and Tamara were awesome and the property was nothing short of spectacular! It was a weekend getaway for a group of college buddies, and we had an amazing time. Plenty of space both inside and on the property, the river is absolutely beautiful, unfortunately for us, it was a bit low for us to catch anything. Nonetheless, I would not hesitate to both recommend, and rent from, Stephen and Tamara again!

Tamara & Stephen have lived in Portland Oregon most of their lives, spending as much time in Nehalem as possible.
We spend our time kayaking, crabbing, fishing, bike riding and working on maintaining Riverberry Lodges 25 acres.
Spending more time on the coast now that our kids are all in high school and venturing off into college in the next couple years, we hope to spend our time on river conservation and the coastal runs of salmon & steelhead.
We love food with a passion! Good food! We try to grow most of our food and hunt & fish for the rest.
We are very easy going and would love to help you with any needs during your stay.
We really try to live as simply as possible, have good people around and live a quality life with tons of laughter!
