Fully equipped 1 bedroom cottage (sleeps up to 4) with Studio Lodge (sleeps up to an additional 6) for a total of 10 guests.

Your River Run Escape is a four season cottage rental on the Moira River in Tweed, Ontario that can accommodate a romantic getaway to nature for you and your partner OR we can accommodate small gatherings of up to 10 people with additional sleeping space in our rustic Lodge that is attached on the other side of our riverfront home.

Escape to nature...
Our one bedroom suite cottage has a full kitchen, separate bathroom and laundry. This modern, clean, stylish rental sleeps up to 4 with a queen bed and a double pull out sofa. You also can enjoy your private screened in porch that overlooks the Moira River. Perfect for small families, or two couples that would like to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

Planning a family re-union? Birthday or retirement celebration?
If you need a space that sleeps more, our separate, rustic studio lodge can accommodate up to 6 additional guests, with 2 bunk beds, queen bed and pull out double sofabed in its main room. Your additional guests will have their own 3 piece bathroom, bbq and patio area off of their separate, secure entrance. Their accommodations will include a Keurig coffee maker, bar fridge, tv with additional classic dvd selections, as well as a cosy woodburning stove for that added charm. Their bay window has beautiful views of our majestic Moira River while they sip on their morning beverage.

Both the Lodge and Suite are on the same property, and are attached to the main house, where you will share a 3/4 acre of land complete with 3 picnic tables, two firepits, a pond, lawn games including badminton/volleyball, boating rentals and a dock that offers great fishing.

Please note that we reside in the main house, however we try to make ourselves seen only if you need something, and each rental has their own separate, secure entrance.

Plenty of free parking for your car, boat trailer, ATV or snowmobile.

CAMPFIRE WOOD: Please note that we supply a small amount of kindling and wood to get you started for your first campfire. However please bring along your campfire wood should you wish extended campfire time. **ALL CAMPFIRES ARE SUBJECT TO MUNICIPAL FIRE BANS THAT MUST BE ADHERED TO AT ALL TIMES**

BOAT USAGE: We include the use of our two non-motorized boats (paddle and fishing kayak) with your weekly rental (includes PFD-personal floatation devices).

Where you’ll be

Tweed, Ontario, Canada

We are located in cottage country, nestled in nature between Ottawa and Toronto- a perfect getaway for your family reunions or celebrations.

In summer of course you will come across an ATV or two, and there will be river boating activity, but that is what summer is all about; fun in the sun and water! The fall boasts the beautiful colours of our Ontario landscape, or bring your snowmachine in the winter to enjoy the nearby Eastern Ontario trail.

Tweed is a friendly town and hosts Tweedy's Ice Cream Stand, as well as Duffers Chip Wagon. Within a short drive of your 4-season accommodation, you can choose to hike our Eastern Ontario Trail, visit the local wineries and boutiques in beautiful Hastings county; take in local theater, festivals, paddle the Moira or just sit on the dock and enjoy the view. We offer family fun with lawn games such as croquet and badminton and in the evening, you can relax by a campfire while roasting your complimentary s'mores. In the winter, there is ample parking for your snowmobile, or choose to ski Battawa (45 min. drive west), or take in ice fishing at nearby Stoco Lake. So much to enjoy as you explore our backyard in beautiful Tweed, ON.

Julie and I love travelling particular to sunny warm destinations.
We consider ourselves fortunate and love to share our special space with as many people as possible. Laid back and enjoy chatting over good Tequila, beer or wine. Don't need any fuss and don't cause any fuss, just like to feel comfortable and for the hosts to feel comfortable and secure in the knowledge that we will treat their home with respect and care as if it was our own.
