The location of the hostel is unbeatable. Right in the center of everything, yet, noise is not a concern at all. The courtyard is full of green, flowers, and thoughtful artistic elements. Sitting in it reading and relaxing for the entire day is a joy itself. Fluent in Spanish, English and Chinese, Julian, our host was very friendly and helpful. Julian在清华学习过两年,所以用中文交流没问题,实在是个令人愉悦的小发现。Israel was also very nice and helpful in answering any of your demands on site. The staff go out of their way to help guests. Julian compared multiple agencies to help us to exchange money with the best rate. He also helped us to book a day tour that turned out to be great. There is free coffee, tea, and bottle water in the shared kitchen, where you can fix a simple meal if you want. If I have to be picky, wifi is almost useless in the room. Wifi in the courtyard near the front desk is very good though, whenever you need. There was some small bugs on the floor occasionally, but they are harmless, and are probably inevitable give how lush the yard is. All in all, we highly recommend this hostel to anyone who come to Oaxaca for it's nature, weather, and slow-paced life.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Our hosts were warm and extremely helpful. The house is charming-filled with art and collections of interesting artifacts and plants. The kitchen was very well stocked with every cooking utensil. Our room had a lovely little terrace overlooking the court yard. Thank you!

Dear Guest:

Welcome to Oaxaca.
I hope you have a great time here.
Enjoy every minute of it, every corner, every painting and every food.
Get up every morning with a smile and look for the details in life.
Walk all day, take advantage of the sun and dance all night.
Take a lot of pictures cause one day they will bring you back in time.
Eat everything you can, drink mezcal after that.
Buy some local clothes and put them on next day.
Sit down in any bar of the zocalo and enjoy the marimba.
Practice your spanish, we are always willing to help.
Be adventurous, eat some chapulines.

And more important:

Make yourself at home.

Sincerely Julian Hernandez.
