Great location

Take to the woods and discover a peaceful, serene little gem close to Travelers Rest & Greenville. Log Haven sits atop a hill overlooking a 2+acre stream fed pond and 11 acres of Pine & hardwood forest; terraces & paths, kayaks and peddleboat to enjoy fishing; Lounge on the wide wrap around porch, al fresco dining; naps on the hammock, grilling, campfires...High speed Wifi, comfortable workspace, a perfect Getaway! I We're disinfecting & keeping a 2 day buffer between reservations.

The space
The Cabin has an open floor plan, fully equipped kitchen and adjacent dining area to make staying 'home' for meals stress-free. An electric fireplace can be used for additional heat in the living room, or just for ambiance. The WiFi is high speed (25G) for “smart TV” streaming (YoutubeTV, Netflix, Prime Video, and a small selection of DVD movies). Should you require a washer and dryer, it’s right behind the folding doors by the back door.

Two Bedrooms: Master has King memory foam mattress with ensuite bathroom (double vanity, shower and large jetted tub, bath salts included. Please, no oils or bubble bath). The 2nd bedroom has Queen memory foam mattress and adjacent shower bathroom. Good bedding is important to us. We are proud to include Red Land Cotton in our rotation of linen. It's Alabama grown cotton, spun and woven in SC, finished responsibly in Georgia. We love that!

A large wrap around porch makes for some sweet outdoor living with the front porch facing the pond and Eastern sun rise. A grill is on the front porch, with round tables for two and four. Enjoy the hammock on the west side where there is usually a nice breeze (blanket and pillow provided). Life is good on the porch, rain or shine.

Please check with us regarding pets; we recommend you use a leash for your pups as occasional deer and rabbits are not uncommon.
Regretfully, we cannot accommodate cats.

Guest access
Parking is ample; Access to front and back doors have steps. You may store your bikes and excess luggage in the Red Shed next to the Cabin.

Other things to note
Coffee, tea, fruit, snacks, and condiments are offered for your convenience upon arrival. If you would like the refrigerator stocked with certain items, please let us know. We’ll be happy to provide that service.
The pantry stores an air popper (heirloom corn supplied), a BlendTec blender, and a waffle iron.
Firewood is plentiful, and paper to start a nice fire in the pit.
Additional overnight guests (beyond 4) or large groups are not allowed, but feel free to invite a friend or family member for a visit. The red storage shed near the parking area is a convenient place to store your bikes.
This is a NON SMOKING property.

Location

Travelers Rest, South Carolina, United States

The neighborhood is rural "Blue Ridge Country"; It’s quiet and private, but if you are lucky, you might here an owl, or some Canadian Geese. The Cabin is 3 miles to the Swamp Rabbit Trail with 22 miles of blacktop walking and biking combined, (some alongside the Reedy River) through Travelers Rest, to south Greenville. Bike rental is easy at Sundrift on Main St. across from Tandem Creperie in Travelers Rest. You can bike all over TR (as the locals call it), or keep peddling south to enjoy Greenville. Lots of restaurants to choose from, and don’t miss the Reedy River Park. It’s a great place to rest and picnic before heading back.

We are both retired, love the outdoors and all that the Greenville area offers for hiking, arts, restaurants, and the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. We are foodies, a woodworker, a ceramist, gardener (pulls weeds), wanna be tennis players. Zoie (our lovable labradoodle) likes to just follow us and be wherever we are. We love meeting the folks who want to visit TR, Greenville, for all the area offers; hiking, biking, fishing, and porching it at The Cabin.
