Lives in El Salvador
From a very young age I was interested in national tourism, the idea of getting to know my land and that of my ancestors. At the age of 15, I started studying hospitality and tourism at the Francisco Menéndez National Institute. At the end, I went to Toronto, Canada, where I continued my studies at Humber College. I then studied other courses that allowed me to be a guide to Niagara Falls, Quebec and Montreal. I spent over 35 years as a guide on the East Coast of Canada and China, with companies specializing in Spanish-speaking tourism. Thanks to my work I had the opportunity to visit several countries in Latin America and Europe, which also allowed me to know different cultures. Both Spanish speakers, as well as Portuguese, English and French speaking; which will serve me for this new project that has led me to settle in Apaneca in my native country El Salvador. Why open my home, my life to the public? In this next stage, I would like to share how much I received from the thousands of tourists I had the pleasure of attending these last 40 years. In the same way I want to go back to my roots, share with the people of my land some of the knowledge, experiences and dreams that I once received from teachers, friends and family. By staying in our home in the residential Villas Suizas 1, guests will have the option to explore with me Apaneca. A picturesque mountain village on the touristy Ruta de las Flores. Some of the activities we propose range from: playing soccer on the mini court inside the residential complex, walking or resting in the green areas of the complex or taking walks to the green lagoon, located 3 kilometers from the house. There is also the option of hiking to interesting tourist destinations in the vicinity: Thermal Santa Teresa in Ahuachapán, Los Chorros de la calera in Juayúa, a night market in Nahuizalco, or even do boogie tours (4x4), visit the Albanian labyrinth the largest in Central America, formed with more than 2,000 cypress trees or do canopy in Apaneca. We also offer the exclusive opportunity to do recreational kayaking in small groups either in La Barra de Santiago (mangrove area) or in Lake Coatepeque, both located 1 hour and a half from Apaneca. Casa de Campo is designed with the intention of magnifying and appreciating the art, the crafts of our local artisans, the opportunity to taste the typical Salvadoran dishes, their music and their writers with an extensive library of national, Latin American and international books, where you will find many references of great authors. As well as a wide range of self-help and self-help books, or if you prefer, related to art, science, or just fun and entertainment.
