Our self catering cottage with stunning sea views on the beautiful, unspoiled island of Alderney, offers you the chance to relax and enjoy peace and quiet in comfort right by the beach. The cottage, which is adjoining the main house, sleeps 4 max.
Please note that although the location address says Guernsey that is a postal classification only - we are on a totally separate island (much smaller and more beautiful!) but it takes a little more effort to get to us!

Good accommodation, pleasant hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble, oodles of hot water for showers and warmth after days spent birdwatching in Alderney. The proximity to Alderney's new bird observatory at the Nunnery, birdwatching hide on Longis Common and Barrackmaster's …

Glad you enjoyed your stay Tim. There is always a back staircase which guests can use if they struggle with the spiral one. Hope to see you back again some time. Best wishes

Pourciaux Cottage is located in a beautiful place, very close to the sea, with lovely views, (although upstairs bedroom view has been blocked out!). We enjoyed going to sleep listening to the waves. It is very peaceful and quiet which we loved. The walk around the island is lovel…

Glad that overall you enjoyed yourselves and we will certainly address the issues you mentioned. We are quite new to Airbnb and have had very few bookings via this site as the majority of our visitors already know the island and its limitations (shops closing, lack of public transport etc) but I will add more of this kind of information to our listing so that it is much clearer for those that do not know. Our own website has all this kind of information but as Airbnb does not link to this, I guess that doesn't really help! The film on the bottom half of the bedroom window was put there originally for privacy reasons and the fig tree outside has grown out of proportion. Having said that we do cut it hard back in the winter and it is only in late summer that it takes over and partly blocks the view from the top half of the window. In our 7 years of operating no-one has mentioned these things as negatives until now but obviously it is something we do need to address so thank-you for pointing it out. You are right that Channel Island prices are higher than the UK, and Alderney even more so than the other islands given that it is so expensive and has limitations on getting things here etc., but it is even more reason that what we offer needs to be considered unique but also value for money taking everything into consideration. Very useful and constructive comments... we will be taking them on board. Thank-you.
