The property is practical and comfortable and all on one level. It has an open plan kitchen diner/living room with a large dining table. The kitchen has French doors opening out onto a cool shaded north facing area. There is a comfortable seating area in the living room with a settee and two extremely comfy reclining chairs with footstools. There is a fabulous wood burner for colder seasons.
There are two bedrooms, a double with French doors to the south facing front of the house, and a bedroom with both bunk beds and another single.
The bathroom is comfortable with bath and shower over and beyond that there is a large garage area and an extra room where the washing machine is.
The garden is huge containing fruit and nut trees, blackberries, and the odd rabbit.
Interaction with guests
The property is completely self-contained and on its own land, and our wonderful host Marino lives next door.
There is no necessity to be quiet in this area as the property is set apart in its own land. This makes it ideal both for those who like quiet and for those who bring their own noise with them in the form of children, or music.
No smoking indoors.
Pets by arrangement.
I'm a French dad who loves the peace and quiet when the kids have enough space to run around. I love this part of the French countryside and try to make as much time as possible to enjoy it with friends and family.
I'm a tech and science writer, an Apple consultant and a videographer.
There is so much to explore around this part of the Dordogne, and plenty of bikes to do it on. I hope you will love being at our cosy little retreat as much as we do.
