Having reached the end of my tour round Italy with Rome being my last stop - I needed to make sure I had a good base from which to explore the capital and a nice neighbourhood to base myself while I visited the frantic city during the day. I booked quite short notice with Laura and was in communication with her shortly before I planned to check in that evening. But I hadn't counted on the Italian Trains and i was hopelessly delayed as is the custom. Leading to arriving in Rome late and finding the station deserted and the metro closed down. The station was staffed by less than helpful officials who guided me twice to a closed metro entrance. Eventually I found a taxi after wondering the streets. I then experienced the kind of late night taxi drive which counts as a religious experience - surviving it was a real miracle... I made it to Laura's place - When I eventually checked in Laura was kind and friendly considering the late hour and I was happy to be able to relax in a very comfortable room. The room is completely self contained with a very nice on-suite bathroom and an incredibly comfortable bed which I was able to get a great nights sleep in after the chaos of the journey there. It's also equipped with a small fridge stocked with juice, water and breakfast materials - just what you need before you head out for the day. The location itself is in a nice quiet neighbourhood and right next to a fantastic Gelato shop - which even sold vintage style Italian style sodas and incredible Gelato of course! The nearest station to get you to the centre of Rome is a good 15 minute walk (with around 10 mins journey time to Spagna metro) but with plenty of opportunities on route to pick up a snack or grab an expresso this is only a minor set-back and during the evening - this means you can if you wish get a peaceful nights sleep. Overall this listing is a wonderful place to base yourself away from the chaos of central Rome and provides a welcome calm after a day exploring the city and a fantastic nights sleep for the weary traveller.

Easy to find. Laura was great. Our flight was delayed and we ended up getting in two hours late- but she waited up for us and showed us the room. The neighborhood is quiet and a little far from a lot of things, but is comfortable, clean and very, very quiet. The bed and pillows are comfortable.

The stay at Laura's was great, Laura lives at the address too and so it was a nice quiet and secure place to stay. It was quiet, very clean and comfortable. The area is great with lots of restaurants and a nice gelato shop next door, and everyone was so friendly. Also close to the Vatican and metro.

Laura is a fabulous host who makes herself more than available to answer your questions and ensure you have a pleasant stay. I had a late arrival of 1am on Friday night, and Laura communicated with me until she personally situated me in my comfortable room. I stayed in the room with its own balcony and bathroom (and air conditioner!!), all very clean. It's not downtown Rome, but close to a metro station and a delicious neighborhood restaurant that Laura will inform you of. A great experience!!

Staying over at Laura's was great. She is really friendly and helpful. The place is about fifteen minutes away from the subway station of cipro. Which you can take to anywhere in the city center or to other terminals. Overall, if I came back to Rome I would definitely stay here again.
