Great check-in experience
Recent guests loved the smooth start to this stay.
Magical space in converted stable yard.
Perfect for a romantic getaway but would also suit family/friends wanting to explore Perthshire/Scotland.
Great base for exploring from.... within easy reach of many tourist destinations including 10/20 mins from the only two two-Michelin star restaurants in Scotland. Also an ideal place to stay if you just want to cook...get takeaways/ light a fire/watch Sky and go for occasional walks!
High end decor throughout with geo-thermal underfloor heating
The space
The Courtyard Cottage is situated on the edge of a quiet country road two miles outside Crieff. The former granary has been recently renovated and is now an extremely comfortable and luxurious two bedroom cottage.
A perfect space for a romantic break for a couple but equally a fun space to share with another couple or family/children.
Decorated to a high standard, it offers two double ensuite bedrooms with King Size Beds. (Bedroom two can be made up as a double for two people or as two single beds). There is an extra shower room downstairs and a stunning eat-in kitchen with ‘neff’ induction hob/electric oven/microwave oven and large ‘liebherr’ fridge freezer.
The sitting room has been stylishly decorated with furnishings from ‘Graham and Green’, ‘Oka’, interesting art on the walls and vintage finds from local shops and auctions making it a truly unique and special space.
There is a flat screen tv with Sky. Also plenty of card games and scrabble/puzzles etc.
Lots of local walks to enjoy including the twenty minute walk down to the River Earn Ford and the walk up to Glenturret is five minutes away. Plenty of more challenging walks nearby too (including a Munro or two!)
There is access from the upstairs landing to a suspended balcony that overlooks the stableyard and the Ochil Hills beyond where you can enjoy pre dinner cocktails.
The cottage can be booked as a couple in one room which is the price you see on this app and is a reduced price for single bedroom occupancy but if you wish to have the second bedroom made up ...let us know....there is an extra charge for this option. This bed is a zip and link bed so could be one/two singles if wished. (Please specify with your booking).
Dogs welcome if they are well behaved/not allowed upstairs/on furniture/sleep in the boot room with their own underfloor heating! (Any poos to be picked up!)
N.B the price per night is for two people
in the Master Bedroom.
If you wish to use the extra bedroom and bathroom then you need to add “extra people” @ 20.00 p.p per night even if there are only two people staying in the whole cottage.
The local town Crieff, is less than two miles away with plenty of shops, cafes/restaurants and food shops.
Andrew Fairlie’s 2* Michelin restaurant at Gleneagles is only a fifteen minute taxi ride away and we are also lucky to have the only other 2* Michelin in Scotland.. The Glenturret Lalique…ten minutes away. The Coorie Inn, and G’s Bistro restaurants less than ten minutes away are also very good.
In Crieff, apart from the bars and restaurants, there are also excellent food shops including the award winning ‘best fish shop in Scotland’...’Fish in Crieff’ as well as The Crieff Food Company which also has a good cafe in the basement.
Along the Strath about twenty minutes away, you will find a brilliant farm shop ‘Gloagburn’ which is also a good place for breakfast/coffee/lunch and afternoon tea.
Historic Innerpeffray Library is a twenty minute walk from the cottage and Drummond Gardens and The Famous Grouse Experience less than ten minutes drive away.
Guest access
Guests are welcome to walk around the farm and treat it as their own as long as they abide by normal ‘Countryside Code/Rules”. ’. We can point you in the right direction! Other things to note

Meet your host
Lives in United Kingdom
I was brought up in Hampshire and lived in London and Paris working in the interior design and fashion world before moving to Perthshire with my husband to bring up our children on the family farm. We love our animals, horses, dogs, enjoy all food and cooking, galleries/fashion and cinema/TV Mad Men/Homeland/Wolf Hall.
Thoroughly enjoy hosting in the cottage and seeing how much our guests appreciate our efforts to make it the very special space that it is.
