A light and airy riverside cottage with spectacular views in central Scotland. An ideal place to escape to for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The cottage overlooks the river and fields beyond. (Spectacular copper bath in wooden hut too!)
Perfect base to explore the surrounding area and near to a quiet country road....making it easy to access all the beautiful sites that this part of Scotland has to offer. Crieff is only two miles away and the nearest railway station is at Gleneagles.

The space
The cabin is within the grounds of a Victorian Manse reached from the private drive. Recently refurbished to a high standard with fun and quirky decor, a fire pit and an outdoor copper bath.
It is a perfect place to escape to for a romantic weekend and as a base to explore Central Scotland.
Scone Palace,
Drummond Castle,
Stirling Castle
Dundee
Dunkeld Cathedral
Blair Castle
Loch Earn and
St Andrews are all less than an hours drive away.
Edinburgh and Glasgow are also easily accessed by car or train.
Edinburgh Airport is approx 50mins away and Glasgow Airport just over an hour.
The Trossachs, Loch Lomond, Oban, Glencoe, Aviemore and Lochness are all reachable for a day trip.

The cabin has a beautiful four poster bed (1700 wide) with top quality bed linen and a stunning covered balcony through the double doors overlooking the river.
There is a small kitchenette off the sitting room with combination oven/microwave and a fridge freezer.
The bathroom has a shower with good pressure and a spectacular view from the WC!
In the sitting room you will find a log burning stove with plenty of wood supplied as well as a Smart HD TV. Lots of games/puzzles etc also supplied.
There is a pretty wooden larch bath-house along the garden path and up a few steps. The bath is copper and nickel and fills in approx 20 mins (hot and cold water!). Amazing views from the bath across the fields..../or close the Yorkshire board door and have a bath by candlelight or surrounded by fairy lights. Please note that the bath may be unavailable when there are extreme low temperatures outside although on the whole, unless sub-zero all is fine!
There are plenty of walks around the farm or within a short drive and if you prefer something more challenging there are several Munros within easy reach.
You are welcome to bring one dog but please be aware that there is no fenced off area outside the door.

I was brought up in Hampshire and lived in London and Paris working in the interior design and fashion world before moving to Perthshire with my husband to bring up our children on the family farm. We love our animals, horses, dogs, enjoy all food and cooking, galleries/fashion and cinema/TV Mad Men/Homeland/Wolf Hall. Thoroughly enjoy hosting in the cottage and seeing how much our guests appreciate our efforts to make it the very special space that it is.
