The Cottage at Woodlands is a modern ,contemporary self catering apartment that overlooks the beautiful west Lyn Vallley with the sounds of birds and the rushing river to relax to. It has its own outdoor sunny terrace to enjoy the view. The property has its own direct access to the lynway which is part of the two moors way and is a lovely footpath to Lynton ,only a ten minute walk away. It has a brand new fitted kitchen and contemporary bathroom. Sunny in summer,cosy in winter!

The Cottage at Woodlands is situated in the beautiful Lyn valley and offers stunning views across woodlands surrounded by birdsong and the gurgle of the West Lyn river ?The cottage offers modern comfortable accommodation with a brand new fitted kitchen, a log burning stove, contemporary bathroom with walk in shower, bath and two ‘ his and her’ sinks.There is a cosy bedroom with a comfortable king size bed and a new sofa bed for two additional guests in the lounge.

The towns of Lynton and Lynmouth ,both within walking distance along pretty footpaths ,are well known holiday destinations in one of Englands last remaining tranquil areas ,Exmoor.The most famous attractions include the multi award winning funicular cliff railway which opened in 1890 and links Lynton and Lynmouth .It is the highest and steepest totally water powered railway in the world and provides stunning coastal views. Lynmouth provides a romantic escape from modern living with its pretty fishing harbour ,unique fishing cottages ,quirky shops and wonderful old pubs serving excellent locally caught fish dishes.Lynton ,perched high on the cliffs, is a vibrant Victorian village which has managed to retain a quaint mix of individual shops both old and modern .It also boasts some really top class restaurants catering for visitors from all over the world who are regularly surprised by the standard.
In addition to this the area provides stunning walks , coastal,river ,woodland and moorland. Many well known trails such as the south west coast path, two moors way, Coleridge way , Tarka trail and the Julia Bradbury walk start or pass through Lynmouth. If you love hiking ,good food, welcoming pubs and stunning scenery .. this is the place for you.

Steve and I are the owners of a successful 6 roomed b&b called woodlands Guesthouse which we have successfully run for five years . We have decided to reduce the number of rooms we offer to 3 , live in the main house and convert our very modern spacious and contemporary owners accommodation as a self catering cottage by installing a brand new modern kitchen. Before moving to Devon we lived for thirty years in a small West Sussex village. I was (and still am )a personal trainer ,sports massage therapist and natural juice therapist and Steve established and owned a successful letting in Cranleigh ,Surrey for over twenty years. We sold up to realise our dream of moving to Devon to run a b&b . We are keen walkers and into fitness and our breakfasts have many healthy options which our self catering guests are very welcome to experience. We are very happy to recommend walks , pubs, cafes and restaurants to suit everyone as we are keen that our guests make the very best of their stay.
