Beautiful and walkable

A cosy but bright apartment in a lovingly restored 16th century building, on a historic square within the city walls of the old town of Boppard. Within walking distance shops, and the Rhein with its riverfront restaurants, but well equipped and comfortable enough to stay home and cook also. Perfect for a couple or small family, and for short breaks or longer stays.
Boppard is well connected by train, boat and bus so it's a perfect base to explore the Romantic Rhein area.

The space
The apartment is part of a larger house which used to be the town's ropemakers. The house was built in the 16th Century and was one of the few houses to survive a town wide fire. We have worked hard to restore the building, one floor at a time and so you will see original features such as beams and the three storey spiral staircase, which is built out of a single tree.

Guest access
You will have access to the ground floor apartment. This includes an open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area, a private courtyard, bathroom with multifunction rain shower, and a family bedroom with a super king bed. The bedroom is large with enough room for one or two floorbeds or cots for children and has three large wardrobes for your use.

We have two travel cots including bedding, baby baths and high chairs available if required. They are shared across our other apartment also, so please make sure to advise us early if you require them.

There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer for shared use of the building.

Other things to note
Our region has a "Tourist Tax" which is payable to us on arrival.
It costs €2,50 per day per person with exemptions for youngsters and those in education.
It is a compulsory tax but in return you get free train and bus transport across the region and admission to the town museum.
Once booked, look out for a message from us requesting personal details from all guests, so that we can process the tax and bus/train tickets.

We have two travel cots including bedding, baby baths and high chairs available if required. They are shared across our other apartment also, so please make sure to advise us early if you require them.

Boppard is a friendly town with lots to do. On the Rhein, this is a favourite stopping point for the leisure tours up and down the River. Within the town, you can take a chair lift up to some great views, walk through the forest or take the mountain biking trails, go climbing or eat lunch on the river and go for a gentle cycle to the next town. The Bopparder Hamm is famed for it's wine and there are lots of makers in the town to sample.
In the local area, there are great towns, and the amazing castles dotted along the Rhein and Moselle rivers which converge at nearby Koblenz.
