If your looking for something a little different then The Bridge House might be just for you!
My unusual 2 bedroom home is actually build on a bridge spanning the River Ardle in 1881.
Charming original features including stone spiral stairs, traditional Scottish timber clad walls, stone/pine flooring and even a privy directly over the river below!
Recently renovated.
Quiet, peaceful and rural location.
Pretty views from every angle.
Sauna.
Category A listed.
The space
The adventure begins as you enter my front door with a winding stone spiral staircase leading upto The Bridge House.
The top of the stairs opens into the conservatory dining room.
From here you can access the little bedroom and kitchen/sittingroom.
The little bedroom has a small double bed, great views upriver and a quirky privy from olden days!
The kitchen sitting room is surrounded by traditional scottish timber clad walls and floor. It has a cosy log burning stove and pretty views downriver. The kitchen is fully fitted with everything you need.
From the kitchen sittingroom you access the romantic master bedroom with kingsize 4 poster, smart TV, ornamental fireplace and fitted mini wardrobes. I hope you'll sleep as well as I do with the peaceful sound of the river below.
The bathroom has a choice of shower or bath.
There are stone walkways all around The Bridge House with magical views down to the river below. They connect with the veranda seating area nestled in the castellations and a small sauna in a mini stone 'outbuilding'.
Guest access
Garden up river is shared with the stable apartment.
Other things to note
There is another completely separate 2 bedroom apartment in the stables just over the bridge. It is completely detached apart from a stone walkway which is only used if the two units are rented as one (4 bedroom).
Due to the upper walkway walls being only 1 meter high in places we do recommend bringing children unless the are kept an eye on at all times.
The little bedroom has a small double bed (120cm wide). Comfy and cosy but can be tight for two.
There is a charge per pet per booking (not always pets accepted or any pets accepted)
