Interaction with guests
Barry and Lila will nearly always be here to greet you and sit down with you at breakfast for a visit. We love to let you in on the greatness of our area if you so desire. But once in awhile we might have to go fishing. Not to worry. Lila has lots of family nearby to pick up the slack. If you're lucky you will get to meet Grandpa and Grannie who live just through the woods in the same house Lila grew up in.
Other things to note
Our home sits on ten acres of an old homestead and was part of Lila's families' dairy farm. You can enjoy the small flock of sheep we keep for the 4-H petting zoo and there are always lambs in the spring! Wander by the creek that meanders through the property and enjoy the beautiful gardens and flowers around the grounds.
There is special pricing for longer stays, winter rates or if you book both our rooms at the same time. Visit our web site at (URL HIDDEN) for further information.
This a no smoking home.
We do have 2 small dogs and a cat who are never allowed on the floor of the B&B bedrooms (we have a gate).
We enjoy a good time but ask that you be courteous of our family and any other guests and keep noise to a minimum at night.

We are long time Alaskans who love to share the wonder of our State and particularly the Matanuska Valley. We are the proud parents of 7 children and 9 grandchildren. We have just one little chicken (actually teenage daughter) who hasn't flown the coop, one who has returned to the state she loves with her little family and all the rest scattered throughout the United States.
Lila was born and raised here. She loves to cook, sew, garden, run and hike. She serves the luncheon for the local Lions Club each week. Barry works as a sales exec. for Konica Minolta Business Systems, is an avid golfer and can give golf lessons in the evening!
We lived nearly 10 years in Mexico where Barry was the director of golf for two different country clubs there. When our oldest child his highschool age 17 years ago we came back to Alaska to finish raising our children. We absolutely love the beauty and fresh air our state provides and are anxious to share our enthusiasm for it with you!
