Place was very good. Away from the city but still very close to get downtown quickly. Very quiet. Neighborhood was very good.

Rachel was more than helpful and gracious; she made everything easy. The space is quite wonderful, the view spectacular and the setting/neighborhood is classic East Bay hills. The current set up is better for people on the go during the day (limited living/dining, at least during cold and rainy weather when the deck is not an option, but that is being addressed). The shops and cafes of Montclair are only minutes away with the hilltop parks and hiking only minutes in the other direction. Access to Berkeley was surprisingly close.

Rachel's place is really amazing. It's just a 5 min drive to a nice trailhead for a short hike and a 15 min drive for an all day hike. And so close to Berkeley and Oakland. Rachel says its rustic but it's not it's beautiful. Highly recommend.

Response from Rachel:
Hi Sandra- Thanks for your suggestions. Yes, I have been saving up for a nice futon couch or sofa bed to put in the loft, by the windows, to maximize the views. Soon! The plastic cutlery is an attempt to save water, as we are having a severe drought here in California. I felt that recycling was better than lots of dishwashing. There should have been two bowls and two mugs in the kitchen- I apologize for the oversight. Please do let me know, next time, if there's anything you need, and I'll do my best to provide it.

I had a great experience staying at Rachel's place. She was extremely responsive, the check-in process was very easy, and she even stocked the fridge! The location has great views, easy access to regional parks, and is close to a cute town with grocery store and restaurants. The apartment was clean, looked like the pictures, wifi worked well. I'd definitely stay here again!

Rachel's place was absolutely beautiful. For my Person and I, it was perfect. Right outside of San Fran, not too much of a drive. The town closest to her place is absolutely stunning, vibrant with life and peaceful living and extremely nice people. The Eggshop is the perfect place for breakfast. The town has everything one would think to need. Her bnb was perfect for two people, as it had everything we needed. And if it didn't, the lovely town of Montclaire was minutes away. Comfortable bed and a bathroom with an amazing view. It truly felt like home for us. Not to mention her beautiful yard, with her beautiful dogs! And Rachel herself was very accommodating.
