It was my first time in Sopot but it was a great surprise. The location was perfect, near the woods and very quiet at night, also at a walking distance from the seaside and noisy places if you're looking for it. Mark is a very good host and does everything possible to make you feel confortable and pleased at his place. I didn't had any problem and his mom is very kind even though I don't understand much polish :D

Although we never met, Mark was very helpful with everything. He even put us in a more comfortable room than we booked just because he had one left. Rooms were cosy, flat was in a really peaceful and quiet neighbourhood, but still around just 10 minutes walk from the center. I strongly recommend!

Servio was a very obliging host. He helped us anytime we needed. The room was very clean and comfortable. In the kitchen, there is everything you need to prepare a meal. The location of the apartment was very practical (only 5 min to the train station to Gdansk, around 20 min to the beach and 5 min to the language school!) We would totally recommend Servio as a host and return for the next time in Sopot :)

We had a wonderful stay at Serio's place. A few days before arrival, he asked us if we could take another room (which was bigger and nicer) for the same price, because it was more convinient for him, so we agreed. He also gave us information about transportation from the Gdańsk Airport. We arrived late in the night, so taxi was the only option - he booked a taxi for us, and when we arrived, our driver was already waiting for us :) When we arrived at the apartment, Mark (this is his real name ;)) gave us tons of useful information about Sopot, how to get to Molo and train station, how to move in Tricity by SKM and where to eat (Naleśnikarnia 3). The flat is located near the centre of Sopot, very close to the train station. You can also walk to the molo&beach in about 15 minutes. The flat was also very clean. It was my first Airbnb experience and it was the best :)

It's a bit of a long story, but here are the main points: - I came to Sopot during a long weekend in which the city was packed with people and it seemed completely impossible finding a place. - I was looking for a place for three nights but Servio had only one night free. Although he normally doesn't allow one-night stays, he still let me stay for a night. - On the way to Sopot, my bus from Poznan broke down in the middle of nowhere, where I was stuck for 5 hours and arrived in Sopot only at 2 am. Servio got up in the middle of the night, drove over to the apartment and let me into the room. He had also arranged a room with a friend of his in Gdansk for the other two nights. - Since I wanted to stay in Sopot rather than Gdansk, the next morning he came over and informed me that he had managed to get me a room at his neighbour's in the same house in Sopot. All in all, a heck of a guy that went way out of his way to solve my travel problems, without me even asking for it. This guy has got a great heart!!!

Servio has helped me finding a room in the hardest moment (everything was sold out) ever in Sopot. He has been extremely friendly by helping me and insuring that I was having everything I needed. His reaction has been really fast and he provided me with some very good tips.

Hey there adventure-seekers!

I live in the heart of the heart of Tricity (Gdansk, Sopot, Gdynia - you can check wiki). Sopot is the most popular tourist destination in Poland, rewarded 2 times as the fastest growing city. With the Monte Cassino area and other crowded attractions on one hand and old silent forest and Lysa Gora mountain (with its awesome view) on the other it can cater to the needs of both a people person and a lone wolf.

My family owns 2 apartments which can be rented all year round (separate rooms or whole flat). Occasionally I manage my friends flats as well (I did so more back in the Euro 2012 era). I know the area quite well since I was born here so if you need anything in Sopot/Tricity, please let me know (even if my flats are booked I'll help you find a good place to sleep). Talk with me and I will find the offer that is best suitable for you. I am open to suggestions and negotiations but always strive to give you the most "bang" for the least "buck".

I had the pleasure of hosting people from all over Poland but also England, Italy, Sweden, Scotland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Ireland, Slovakia, Norway, Finland, Holland, Ukraine, Russia, Spain, Turkey, USA, Chile, Philippines, China and Korea - the list is growing year by year :)

A little history lesson ->
I was hesitant at first to rent my place, but rather sooner than later I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT and really enjoyed meeting and interacting with people from all walks of life and different countries. After transcending the 'baby in the woods' level I was soooo happy that I can somehow serve people, by giving them a walk around or just simply talking and answering questions. I aspired to be a Host with the Most and always got a warm response. Gradually I started to get more involved and became a concierge in the truest sense of the word - you could ask me to arrange anything for you and I would do it - what's more I would get a kick out of doing it!

My first person from outside Poland was a korean student of photography who went on a trip around Europe and had to face 2 years in the military when he came back instead of pursuing his career (makes me sad!). This is his text message he sent to me before boarding a plane to Seoul:
"Thank you! I've been in many places in Poland but you were the best. I will never forget!"

You can see Kim on my Kwatera Zrodelko photos ;)

I believe in karma and it has proven most astoundingly when I was in Israel in September 2011 and in Sweden with my girlfriend in nov/dec 2011...I always loved to take good care of people when they were with me by for example showing them around or at least attending to their needs and I got this back (times million!) when I was abroad. Some unexpected and beautiful things have happened! This is called synchronicity - being in a perfect place in a perfect time. Life sometimes gives you this gift (when you allow it to). Since then I love to travel and believe it expands my map of the world :)

I have decided that even if I have a million dollars some day (which will surely happen :)), I won't stay in a Hotel when I travel, but I will still visit other people's flats...I LOVE THE EXPERIENCE! I could not for example UNDERSTAND Sweden if I went into a Hostel or a Hotel. It is the stories, the evening walks with the Host, the random meetings on the street that showed me the true face of that country, a country which in my mind was cold and boring became one of my favorite places on Earth (what a lesson in humility!) - so much so that we've (me + Sylwia) christened it SweetEden. Thanks Life!

Thanks also flows to you for taking the time to see my profile and listings!

Have a great experience in Sopot!
