Lovely walks, cycle paths. Peace & tranquility. Quiet and safe. Easy access Brighton town centre 'bus station/train station. Buses East & West - 5mins walk.
We're not centre of Brighton, so do read our information on location & transport prior to booking. I like to be as explicit as possible to help guests decide before booking. 5 mins to South Downs & 5 mins to beach front. Not in countryside

Breakfast items may include muesli, porridge pots/pkts, fresh fruit, fresh artisan bread, cheese, yogurt, milk (non-dairy options available by advance request). Please note that this is a help yourself cold breakfast. Due to wishing to reduce food wastage, I will check with you prior to arrival what your preference is for breakfast items. If you are staying for a week or longer, please request if you need any items replenished. Otherwise I will assume you are taking care of your needs. Please do ask if you need more!

PLEASE READ:

I do work from home and often work in London too, so not always around. You will still be able to contact me if any problems. Other family members will usually be around.

At Extra Cost - if I am home and on request at least the day before.
Hot cooked vegetarian breakfast: It is a rarity that I can offer this, due to my own work pattern and lifestyle. On the occasions that I can offer, by prior arrangement = £4 per breakfast.

Laundry
There is a launderette a short walk from the house.
In the summer months, when drying is easy, I sometimes can offer to do your laundry. £5 per load and an additional £3 if you need it tumble dried. Please give advance notice and leave cash along with the laundry. It will depend on our own work as to whether we are able to offer this service.

Kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge with freezer box are provided for the sole use of our guests.

Guest access
There is no guest access to our family home or garden.

Only the person booking may stay in the accommodation and no additional guests or partners are permitted.

We are a 10 minutes walk from the newly refurbished Saltdean Lido. An Art Deco building with an outdoor heated swimming pool, a gym, yoga classes, restaurant cafe, library, for you to enjoy.

Neighbourhood highlights

A quiet and safe neighbourhood
A great spot if you want time out for yourself, to write, walk, paint, cycle. Not suitable if you're looking to party! No parties or events allowed.
Restaurants, cafes and shops are 5 minutes walk.
Crocodile Cafe - a family run Italian Restaurant is recommended.
Whitecliffs Cafe overlooking the beach is a 6-7 minutes walk as is the coast road, with beach and undercliff walk/cycle into central Brighton.
Open countryside, the Tye and acccess to South Downs National Park are 5 minutes walk from our house. There is an Art Deco Outdoor Lido 10 minutes walk - open from May-September.
The old village of Rottingdean is just over a mile away, with more shops, cafes, Kipling Gardens, small museum, library, several old pubs,and in the summer months there are outdoor events.
Cycle hire close by.
The historic county town of Lewes is easily reached by car, with its castle, galleries and a plethora of shops, cafes, restaurants. Glyndebourne is a similar distance. Also trains from Brighton or Newhaven to places far and wide.
