One bedroom apartment right in front of the beach with 2 sea view verandas, one with hammock. Accommodates up to 4 comfortably. Mini markets, (fish) restaurants, bakeries and services all walking distance. Located centrally but in a quiet area.
It's a very bright apartment, decorated with a very personal taste and care. Most of the items were collected in old navy warehouses and are sailing related. It's a very flexible apartment where you can model the sofas to beds or chill out in the bedroom in the hammock or in the living room overlooking the sea. There are no buildings in front so you can relax and enjoy the view. The kitchen is fully equipped (micro-waves, kettle, toaster, blender, mixer, hob, oven, washing machine) and the bathroom is simple, but spacious and functional.
You will have access to everything. The bedroom is quite spacious and has a wardrobe available for full usage. There is an old rocking chair (which travelled from Mozambique) where you can sit and enjoy the sea view or read a book listening to the waves. In the living room you can use all facilities: we have a small TV and Sound Stereo; because it's a holiday house we don't have cable TV as we like to "switch off" when we're away. The sofas in the living room open and turn into 2 beds for 2 pax each. So depending on you, the house can accommodate between 4-6 people if you're willing to share common space with the living room. You'll have access also to our 1 garage place (in the basement of the building with 2 lifts access).
Interaction with guests
My dad lives in Sesimbra so it's most likely not to be around in person when you arrive, but we have support from a very nice local lady who will receiving you and we will be available on our mobile phones all the time if you need any guidance or help with something. We've also prepared a Welcome Book to guide you through your stay so you can enjoy the best you can.
Other things to note
The sea water in this area of the country is amazingly warm (compared to other areas of the country). If you're lucky in the summer you might get about 20-24c and normally it's quite transparent. It's also a great sea to swim as there are not heavy waves. However if you fancy surfing or windsurfing Algarve West Coast is just 1hr/1.30hrs by car and I simply love Sagres and the Vicentina Coast if you can go a bit further up North towards Carrapateira. These are amazing wild beaches, with beautiful waves to surf and fantastic views. If you are a starter you'll also find lots of Surf Schools, including closer to home in Portimão (30min by car). We love "petiscos" in the end of the day where you can enjoy some local dishes such as "ameijoas", "salada de ovas" or "caracóis" accompanied with a fresh beer!

Hi! I'm Andreia and this is my father Alexandre. I'm from Lisbon but I live in London for almost 4 years now. My father grew up by the beach (in paradisiac lands..such as the Island of Mozambique) so he decided he needed to live by the beach as well! He lives in Sesimbra (a small village by the sea near Lisbon) but he has bought this holiday house a few years ago to enjoy the warm waters of Algarve and visit friends around. My father has created a true & peaceful home that he enjoys to unwind. I love coming to the house. I've spent some good holidays here and totally recommend it! (I wish I could come more often). I'm sure you will enjoy it!
