Besides our apartment being conveniently located for our stay, there were a few complaints.
Upon arrival it seemed as though nobody knew we were coming when we were at the front desk. So this took a while to figure out.
The gas for cooking was shut off from a lack of paying the bill. When I asked the owner to fix, he was in Dubai and nobody was available to help. We had 1 little electric pan to use. So most of our dinners were eaten out. Wasn't in my budget. Gas turned on 2 days before our stay ended.
In one of the bedrooms, there was a huge hole in the wall that was covered on the outside with a thin piece of wood that would flap in the wind at night.
There is a pool on the top floor, but no water in it, so don't count on that, and our water filter needed replacing, so we were having to buy bottled water every day.
I'm not a big complainer at all and just deal with the situation at hand, but when I rent out stuff, I make sure that I am not out of town, so that if a problem arises, I can immediately fix it.
There was no sense of urgency on the hosts part and when asked for a refund because we had to eat out every night, he claimed that we could cook using the one little electric pan we had.
So that was our stay!!
