Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Chollerton House is located in the hamlet of Chollerton and is set in its own grounds overlooking the river North Tyne which is just a hundred yards away across our own paddock. The flat is located on the first floor, affording lovely views on all sides, and has its own seperate access, assuring complete privacy. Chollerton lies only one mile north of the World Heritage site of Hadrian's Wall and the flat provides a charming and secluded base from which to explore beautiful Northumberland.

The space
The flat has recently been refurbished to a high standard and includes a lovely open fireplace in the sitting/dining area. Logs are provided. The kitchen area shares the same open plan area, lending itself to a very relaxing, social space which feels both cosy and spacious at the same time. Windows on all sides afford wonderful views of the garden and of the river beyond but the flat remains very private and is not overlooked by the main house. It is accessed by its own front door and staircase, and includes a small cloakroom/lobby area for coats/wellies etc.
There are 2 bedrooms, one twin and one double, and one bathroom with bath, providing accommodation for up to 4 people.
Dogs are welcome but not in the flat itself - a kennel is provided a few metres away, within easy view, or your dog can sleep in the cloakroom area at the foot of the stairs to the flat.
Guests are also able to enjoy the garden of the main house and have exclusive use of the summerhouse, together with its sundial table and chairs which can be positioned either inside the summerhouse or on the small terraced area in front.

Other things to note
A simple continental breakfast is provided for your first morning. However, for guests booking 4 nights or more, a hamper is provided containing locally produced products (products may vary slightly depending on availability) for you to enjoy throughout your stay.

Our nearest village shop is one mile away in Barrasford, for basics such as milk and newspapers. The nearest town is Hexham, an attractive market town with it's own historic Abbey, some 6 miles away.
There are many lovely pubs and eateries in the area but the closest is the Barrasford Arms, 1 mile away, which serves very good evening meals.
We can give you lots of ideas on your arrival of places to visit in the area depending on your interests. Northumberland National Park is only a few miles away, some of Hadrian's Wall being within this. The nearest National Trust property, of which there are several, is only a 20 minute drive away and there is an endless choice of walking and cycling routes.
