The location is 5 star. We were after somewhere secluded and peaceful, but not boring, and this was it. The accommodation was super quiet, kitted out with everything we needed, and very comfy. Being able to go for a hike on Eva's property and go kayaking up the river was also a highlight. Thanks very much for having us! We'd definitely come back.

Eva and Ken were wonderful hosts. They were friendly and happy to have a chat, but they also gave us our own privacy and really went the extra mile to help us with anything extra, like borrowing eggs or their canoes. We had some car trouble and they were also incredibly helpful to organise a way to fix it. The cottage itself was simple and well kept, with beautiful high ceilings and an amazing view. We had a lovely time swimming, canoeing and patting the horses. It was particularly nice how the horses and cows could walk between paddocks and down to the river for a swim :) The only negative would be that there were some videos at the cottage with no video player - but you don't need a movie with such a good view.

Our stay in Jasper Falls Cottage was an amazing experience and we really look forward to go back there. The farm is quite isolated in the middle of the forest, and is the perfect place for a quiet and relaxing weekend in a gorgeous environment. The view from the cottage and the surroundings is stunning. While we initially looked for a basecamp for visiting the region, we actually stayed at the farm the entire weekend. The cottage itself is really nice, beautifully decorated and private enough. We especially enjoyed the billiard table and the veranda with the river's view. Eve and Ken are great hosts and very thoughtful. They lent us their canoe to go on the river, so we enjoyed the area in full. Many thanks Eve and Ken for this amazing stay, we will come back for sure!

Eva User ProfileEva is a superhost.

I grew up in Switzerland. I studied 'Woodwind Making and Repairing' in Newark, England from 1983-86. I went back to Switzerland afterwards and set up my own business making baroque flutes working in close collaboration with the Schola Cantorum in Basel(music academy and research institution focusing on early music and historically informed performance)
I fell in love with and married an Australian, moved to Australia 17 years ago and lived here ever since.
We live on a farm where we raise beef cattle and I repair Woodwind Instruments for the local schools and music store.
I love our place on the Nymboida river and also our beach house in Red Rock and enjoy sharing them with other people.
