The shower is double ideal for couples, and the whole apartment has a unique design created with much detail and love. Our apartment is located in Amargura Street, in the "golden mile" of Old Havana. This name is given to the area that is among the 4 main squares in the historical center of Old Havana, as it is the area that previously has been blessed with restoration projects promoted by the Office of the City Historian Eusebio Leal (whose headquarters office are a few meters away from the main door). This effort has resulted in an enviable position: Streets without traffic and newly paved, trashes, security, a warm night lighting and of course, an unbeatable location. In this area possibly 90% of the touristic, artistic and historical interests of the city are concentrated. And you can do everything on foot. Now, just 5 meters from main door, we have a screen that shows all the cultural activities in Old Havana. Moreover, as the center, we are nearby with a variety of restaurants, art galleries, schools, theaters, as well as innumerable and unpredictable manifestations of street art in any corner, at any time of day. And the best thing is that despite all this, our block is magically calm and quiet, despite being right in the center of everything. We have in front the “Retazos” theater, possibly one of the best contemporary dance academies in Latin America, which has a nice green park (Just in front of the balcony, so we don't have any balcony in front of us, great for privacy), with trees that almost touch us the balcony. On one side we have the office of Eusebio Leal, Historian and city Architect of Havana, and responsible for the leap in quality in some areas like ours, compared to others that have not yet been benefited by large injections of public money, which they can be found just 50m away. On the other side, on the corner, the international financial bank, where you can change your money quickly and safely. And right in front, the House of chocolate, to give sweetness to the visit;). These neighbors allow us to have an inedit quite area so centrally like this place! As points of outstanding interest in the area, we can point out the 4 main squares in Old Havana, which are only 300m, The Cathedral Square, the last to be founded, and where all the buildings are from the 1700s. very close to this is the Plaza de Armas, which is the oldest in the city, drawn in early 1520, and where there is an interested market of antiques and books, plus a host of galleries, museums, forts and palaces. Right next to the house, 200 meters from the main square and 50 of the apartment door, the Plaza San Francisco de Asis, developped in the sixteenth century, and which had the function of origin trade, given its proximity to the bay and harbor. And just a few meters, also 50 from the house, the old square, where you can get a beautiful view of the city from the “camera obscura” or take a refreshing beer on the terrace of the old square accompanied by music is Live. All these places, of course, have a countless number of cafes, restaurants, bars, galleries, museums, shops, palaces, forts and lots of history, the best way to explore is on foot, without having to worry about transportation or by the comfortable and which will have refreshing break after a long day of walking.
