Ground floor of our lovely Victorian home. Walk to MASS MoCA, MCLA, and all the gallery and shops in downtown North Adams. Quick drive to Williamstown with its college and 2 world-class museums. There's hiking, rail trail and road biking, exploring, swimming, relaxing, art, culture, music all within easy access.
This is my home. Artful, spacious and simple, it's all about art, beauty, relaxing, friends & family.

The space

This is a charming and cozy old Victorian. It sleeps 2 in a queen-bed bedroom and can accommodate a single person (or a cozy couple) in the small full-sized futon bedroom off the kitchen. There is a full kitchen, pantry, sun room, back porch, living room, dining room and piano room.

Guest access

Guests have access to the entire space. There are 2 fireplaces but please, no fires allowed (and besides, it's summer!) There's wireless wifi but no tv. We actually designed the house to be as free of digital as possible so that the house offers time for reading, writing, conversation, music, puzzles -- you know, old-school relaxing.

Interaction with guests

I'm around either in person or via text, phone or email (I work over at MASS MoCA). My feeling is you are here to enjoy your vacation, if you need me, I'll be there, otherwise, enjoy.

Other things to note

I'd like to note, that this is an old Victorian with thin walls so you may hear me walking around upstairs. Full disclosure. But really, it's just me : )

Megan was the perfect host, and went above and beyond to accommodate us. Everything was really easy for us on arrival. Her place is beautiful with a great vibe. It's in the perfect location for exploring North Adams, MASS MoCA, and the Berkshires. Highly recommend!

My fiancee and I stayed in this apartment for one night in June 2014. Pros: - The apartment (which is the lower floor of a house) is large and clean. We had more space than what we knew what to do with! It's a beautiful Victorian house that gets plenty of light. - The location is ideal. The house is on a quiet side street but is pretty close to downtown North Adams (10 minute walk or 3 minute drive). - Megan was super responsive and very good with answering my questions leading up to the stay. She even checked in with me via message (she was out of town) around the time I told her we'd be checking in. Great host! Cons: - The upstairs portion of the house is also rented out. The guests were up a bit later than we were the night that we stayed and the floor is very creaky which was a little annoying. That said, it was only a slight annoyance and is the only con I can think of. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area! Definitely go to dinner downtown at PUBLIC--one of the best meals I've had in a while.

We had a lovely stay at Megan's home. The house is very charming. It was great to relax in the sun room in the morning. The deck is also great. The house is a short walk to all of the atttractions in downtown North Adams. Megan was very easy to reach, and she had the heat and lights on for us before we arrived. Highly recommended!

Megan's home is absolutely beautiful! The pictures don't do it justice! It was so comfortable and relaxing, with cozy blankets, great midcentury dishes and glasses, and beautiful art everywhere. It was also an easy walk to restaurants and Mass MOCA. Highly recommended!

It was such a joy to stay here! Megan was super responsive and helpful, and the house is charming, spacious and comfortable. A short walk into town, and yet tucked away among cute streets and open skies. Looking for excuses to come back!

Megan is truly lovely as is her home! It had the quirky charm I expected from the Berkshires. North Adams itself is a sleepy and quiet town - the home is within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Hiking trails a quick drive as is the summit of Mt. Greylock. Megan provided amazing suggestions as to where to eat and hike! The neighborhood is great and even without air conditioning the box fans pulled the cool Massachusetts air into the home and made sleeping more than comfortable even during the hot August summer! Megan has everything you would need in the kitchen and more! I loved making coffee the old fashioned way (just a filter and boiling water!) and appreciated the lack of TV! Expect a retreat and a getaway!

I am an artist. I love mountain views, old factory towns, and cool architecture. When I first visited North Adams, I was amazed by all of the huge old houses, one after the other and then more; I actually still can't believe I own one. Our house was built in 1880 and from what we can tell (house forensics under the wallpaper we stripped : ) it was converted into a two-family back in 1938.

My partner and I love to hike, snow shoe, ski and entertain family and friends.

We also (road) bike. There is great biking up here and we know the routes. From short to long rides; flat to mountainous. We know them because we've ridden them and we can print out the routes for you.

We love art and frequent Mass MoCA, The Clark and local galleries and studios. Frog Lotus Yoga is a 5 minute drive and has an incredibly beautiful space to practice. There are parks and hairpin turns, lakes, streams and hikes. And then food, there's some great food to be eaten...
