Some info has been automatically translated.
A self contained secluded luxury Shepherds Hut sleeps two near the Brecon Beacons national park with delightful valley views. Situated on a small working farm eight miles from Junction 49 at the western end of the M4.
Enjoy the seclusion of the farm and walking opportunities in the area as well as the local attractions in East Carmarthenshire of castles, stately homes, gardens, local villages and towns. Further afield are the beaches and beauty spots of Swansea, the Gower and Pembrokeshire.

The space
A shepherds hut that we hope will have everything that you could desire! If not please ask!! For a layout plan look at the photograph. Studio style with integral electric shower room, toilet and hand wash basin. Main area has kitchen, Belfast sink, Ceramic hob, microwave (also with convection and grill), toaster, fridge and constant hot water. You have a radio but not television or Wi-fi. Electric heating together with highly insulated walls, floors and roof should keep you comfortable whatever the weather.
Good 4G mobile coverage available and wi-fi is usually available in the adjacent dutch barn and lookout covered area.
We also have fresh eggs for purchase and there is 64acres of our farm in fields and woodland to roam over if you don't fancy driving or walking locally.

Guest access
Our renovated Dutch Barn is available with a viewing area for relaxation or a barbeque. This area can also be used to dry damp clothing since it does occasionally rain in Wales. (wet clothing we will try to dry in the farmhouse) Bringing your own wet weather gear is highly recommended unless you propose to be under cover for the whole of your visit.

Other things to note
A 5 minute car journey takes you to Ammanford which has shops and supermarkets with delivery service. Market day is Friday.
'Basic' cooking essentials (salt, pepper, oil) are provided and there is a limited supply of coffee, tea, sugar & milk to settle you in. A pinch of this and that from the farmhouse kitchen is never a problem so long as we have some!
The delightful rural country town of Llandeilo is 20minutes away with an assortment of boutique shops and hostelries.

Lives in Ammanford, United Kingdom
Andrew and Shari have lived on the farm for the past 39 years. Andrew is a retired chartered Civil Engineer who now enjoys being on the farm after many years of consulting work in the UK and overseas. Shari is a retired Registered Dietitian, who is now a list 4 dressage judge and still enjoys schooling her young horse. We both enjoy outings with our Grandchildren, and our sheep dog. We try and walk once a week on the footpaths in Wales. Having finished the Pembrokshire coast path we are looking forward to walking the complete wales coastal path. The profile picture is of Andrew and our granddaughter Caitlin on the old Fergie tractor that Andrew is restoring with the shepherds hut in the background just after it was delivered.
