Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
The 'Castle Byre' and 'Castle Bothy' are self contained units created out of the former barns of historic Parkhead Farm, and they sit just 200m from the ruins of Auchindoun Castle. Each has a different character, but the high level of comfort offered in both is the same, as are the unsurpassed view of the castle on the hill.

The ‘Castle Bothy’ apartment has two bedrooms and a bathroom at floor level, and a bright open plan Living space at first floor level, with Kitchen and Dining areas.

The space
The Master Bedroom has a large double with luxurious topper that can be split into two 3' wide single beds on advance request.

Guest access
There is a grass covered footpath up to the castle maintained by Historic Environment Scotland.

Following the recent completion of masony repair works the interior and exterior areas are, once again, fully accessible.

It is open to the general public without charge.

Other things to note
The access road up from the public highway is un-tarmacked / stone & gravel and not suitable for very low slung cars. General road and SUV types are fine.
