Willard Beach - 10 min. from the Old Port of Portland.

Interaction with guests
We have a gentle & friendly golden-doodle Emmie, who has earned a "good citizen" certificate on her road to being trained as a therapy dog. She will greet you when you first arrive and then mostly naps, occasionally coming over to ask for a pat.
We will be here during your stay but are often out and about. We enjoy meeting new people, love to share insights into the area but also respect your privacy.

We love our home and enjoy sharing it with guests.
We would just hope that visitors will treat it with the same care they would their own home. We want people to feel comfortable.
There is no smoking in the house or in the outside area. While we understand people's wish to travel with their pets, we regret that we cannot accept pets.
My husband Barry & I are in our 60s. We moved from NYC to Maine in 1991 for the quality of life it offers. We love taking our 6 yr old goldendoodle Emmie to the beach every day.
Portland offers the wonderful aspects of a city - theatre, restaurants, music while being minutes away from the ocean and wonderful state parks and a short drive to wonderful lakes. We love books on tape, Doo-Wop Concerts, and since seeing the documentary Forks Over Knives we are moving towards a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle.
We have used airbnb as guests and it has been a wonderful experience. We try to be considerate and respectful of our host's home - leaving it clean & neat. Before retiring Barry was an employment specialist getting jobs for folks with disabilities. I am a social worker. We both are involved in volunteer work in our community.
We look forward to exploring other destinations through airbnb. We are also
currently offering to share our home as airbnb hosts for folks who are interested in visiting Maine where the motto is "The Way Life Should Be!"
