We arrived from the UK on the Eurostar, and it was really easy to get to the apartment via the Metro. Great location, with a lovely bakery across the street, and lots of other great shops, restaurants and cafes just minutes walk from the front door. The inside of the apartment was bigger and nicer than expected!

Cecil's and her family were there to greet us and made us feel very welcome. They showed us around the apartment and how everything worked. They had written detailed instructions for us in English which we appreciated. They also included lots of information on the local area including restaurant recommendations, supermarket (across the road) local bakers and food shops. The apartment was lovely, well laid out very clean and comfortable. Everything worked well. It is very central with Metro almost next door and great food shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Also in walking distance, Pompidou centre Louvre etc. Despite being on a family busy street the apartment was quiet. really lovely. We were staying over Christmas and could not have wished for a better, nicer host or place to stay. Loved shopping in great shops nearby I would highly recommend it. Thank you Cecile and your lovely family.

I would not hesitate to recommend Cecile's flat, it was exactly as described, was prepared for us to a very high standard (towels and bedding like a hotel) and in a fantastic location. The beds were comfortable and great water pressure (things that you notice!) I stayed for a week with my two daughters and the flat was a great size for us. It is on a busy main road but has double glazed windows (we had to have the windows open though as it was hot at the end of July/beginning of August so we noticed the road noise). Cecile was patience itself as I must have asked her 400 questions before we arrived ! She also left clear, comprehensive notes on the flat and the local area. We were made to feel very welcome and relaxed and we will be returning. Top marks. Thanks again Cecile

It's in center Paris, apartment was beautiful. Great hosts and everything was amazing. But I have to be honest that first night, we got locked out from the apartment and we had it to stay outside in street for 7 hours. We asked for refund but Airbnb and the host never agreed on refund. Everything was perfect but this. It is a sad tragedy and we want to leave good reviews but extremely disappointed on that action. But anything other than that was good.

Response from Cecile:
Alexis didn't mention that they got back to the apartment at 4am Paris time and when the key didn't work (mysteriously as the key worked the morning of their arrival and we've never had a problem with our door) we arranged for a locksmith that arrived as quickly as possible. The problem was resolved within a few hours which was difficult for us as we had to deal with this in the middle of the night. Alexis and his friends still had access to the building and were not locked "outside on the street". Airbnb is responsible for refund décisions. As it is, we paid for the locksmith and had several expenses come out of our pockets as a result.

Cecile and Karl's Paris apartment is ideal. It is spacious, clean, and completely comfortable. Just as described, it is directly across from a large grocery store and just yards from a metro stop, which is incredibly convenient. Communicating with Cecile was extremely easy. She always responded to my questions within hours, and left detailed house instructions with some wonderful suggestions and tips for staying in her neighborhood and Paris in general. I highly recommend this apartment to any one!

I stayed with my mom for a week at Cecile's lovely Parisian appartment. You can't beat the location. It's about 1km to the river Seine and just a little longer to The Louvre. The metro is literaly 20 meters from her doorstep, so you can reach all landmarks in a short time. The appartment is light and spacious, and is just as shown the pictures. There are two bedrooms (one master, one child's room with a single bed), so my mom and I could sleep in seperate beds. The matresses are excellent. I was especially happy with the small elevator in the building (Cecile's appartment is on the 2nd floor), since I'm not good with stairs. We were welcomed and shown around by one of her very nice friends and seen of at the end of the week by her husband, both of whom were kind and inviting. Cecile made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Unfortunately I've been ill when visiting, but was very happy to be staying in such a nice appartment, and not a hotel. I would definitely recommend Cecile's place and consider returning myself!
